Thornton chasing after Hendricks after he declined was a bit much, and McQuaid coming in was a bit unnecessary IMO. Just let Hendricks run away, it'll only make him look like a pansy.

They only did that because they didn't like how Hendricks fight with Horton started. In fairness, it was the same way Marchand went after Ribiero. It was good to see the team showing some emotion, they are going to have to bring it with them on the plane to Pitt because that Penguins team is rolling even without Malkin.

Edit: There is a couple players I wouldn't mind having on the Bruins, some real grinders that can hit. I like Hendricks a lot.

Nathan Horton is one punch in the head away from another concussion. Thorton and McQuaid sent the message loud and clear if your going to jump a Bruin, especially one with previous concussion issues, there is going to be a price to pay. I doubt you will ever see a repeat of the no response Savard/Cooke incident from a couple years ago with this current team.

What an epic failure the last couple minutes of the 3rd today. No forecheck, couldn't get the puck deep enough to get Rask off. The 3rd line is garbage and now Krejci might be out.

I made a trade proposal on the Oils board to get some discussion going. What would B's fans think of:

Yakupov, Smid to Boston for Dougie Hamilton and Horton?

For a supposedly defensively weak team, they shut us down. It was still a good game, just don't like the results.
their second goal was just nasty.

Not even close, Hamilton is the steal of the draft IMO, kid is poised and has GREAT vision. I haven't seen a player consistently make the right "pass v. shot" decision making like him since Savard! Kids Hockey IQ is great. makes a few technical errors here and there but he is 19 and first year in the NHL. his potential makes that trade not worth it for the bruins at all.

EDIT: Not that the youth for the Oil is bad, but the bruins have consistently built their team from the back and with Chara getting older Hamilton will be filling those shoes.

I don't think the Bruins are anywhere near as good as the Penguins right now. No Malkin, Letang leaving the game and the Bruins still don't have an answer. The Bruins 3rd line is currently horrific, Claude can't even play them much more than the 4th line.
Seguins goal was purely luck, both Pens goals were fine plays.

I'm not going to even blame Chiarelli, I'm sure the market is impossible to work with and I bet he would do something if it made sense. Losing Krejci and Kelly hurts, but there is no excuse for the lasts two shifts of yesterday's game to look like they did. Rask couldn't get off the ice and there was no forecheck.

Can't see it happening, Hamilton is a 19yr old OFD that is capable of playing 2D pairing with relatively few mistakes in the defensive zone. Those don't come around very often.

Any updates on him today?

And to be fair, Seguin's goal might have been a bit lucky, but the one at the end of the game not going in was lucky as well. I think these teams match up well and would put on a dynamite 7 game series.

Team said yesterday Krejci didn't break anything but that is all they would reveal. Called up Spooner in case Krejci can't play vs the Jets, last NHL game Spooner only got 5min of ice time so hopefully we will see more of him.
