that's a lot of CDs.

must be annoying to pack for sure.

I don't need tons of albums in my rotation. I have favourites and I seem to be content cycling through those. I do pick up new stuff when recomendations from friends blow me away. Maybe one new record a month or so

- SourceS.V.P.

like 98% of the content is in my computer now too. so i have no idea why i don't just get rid of the CDs.

well if your PC crashes you're kind of screwed (unless you've copied them to an external hard drive, wich is a good idea), so this is one reason to keep your CDs.

I personally like to have a physical copy that I can display on m shelf, pick up, look at the artwork and booklet etc.
But I realise that not everybody is like that. Lots of people are happy with an all-digital library

I'm like you, this is why I print each post on hockeybuzz and archive it on a shelf.

they are all backed up to an ext hard drive yes.

but i also like to have the artwork and the liner notes and all that jazz.

i have just recently managed to convince myself to at least not keep living that way. so now when i buy something new i do the digital deal. unless it's someone i really like cause then i feel like i need the artwork and all so i buy the CD.

to be fair, i'm a guy with limited edition colored vinyl and collectible concert posters and signed guitars and stuff. so i may just be obsessed.

I still have all the cd's that I had bought as cd's.

to be honest in the past 15 years I've bought maybe 5 albums and those have been digital.

I've thought that about some threads but deep down inside I have a feeling I'd regret it more had I done it.
