Good luck with the new project, Kamal... too bad there is no real NHL hockey games to discuss.

Thanks and you said it! The fact there is no hockey right now is a very sad thing. The fact that there could continue to be no hockey for the entire season, is dire, imo...

Agreed.

What Bob Mck said is just damn scary... or maybe he is just trying to show the NHL and NHLPA how stupid they are both being.

Scary indeed...and yes, he could be trying to show them that.

It's funny, because he had another tweet where he was talking about how unreasonable the league's demands are.

The problem is that Bettman isn't playing games. This isn't posturing from him. He is tough as balls and does not back down. He, and the owners, will simply wait for the PA to change their tune...

..and they can afford to too...having MUCH deeper pockets than the players generallly do.

Dire yes but i prefer stupid, idiotic, asinine, greedy, self-centered, did i say stupid?, depressing, infuriating, disgusting.

The list goes on and on.

But the best one is COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY

I love hearing this stuff...

Nothing would be better than losing multiple seasons. The greedy owners lose millions, and this union would get crushed into virtual non-existence. They will NEVER test the owners again. They will lose millions they will never recover.

The acrimony will be so entertaining along the way.

I especially love Fehr and the players complaining ... keep it up guys, make it personal, make the owners truly become vindictive. Don Cherry, was right, for a change.

Since we know the fans will never have the will to make these Aholes pay...

we have to hope they punish themselves and choke on their own stupidity.

only thing that bugs me is, why couldn't we do this 7 years ago? why couldn't we lose the 2-3 years then?

the other thing i don't get is, from the players' standpoint, ok, they're willing to lose a year. but the deal they get next July is going to be no better than what they can get now. they know this. a precedent has been set. how are they so content not to negotiate? they have no leverage. zero. i'm not saying they should cave. but their current stragtegy of waiting out the owners is terribly shortsighted, imo. their solidarity will break after a lost season, just as it did last time.

Well, Montreal and Toronto are where the most suffering occurs.

On the other hand, imagine you live in Edmonton or Winnipeg? That has got to be 10x worse than Montreal or Toronto. I guess Winnipegonians are used to it though.

I think that other tweet was tied to a column he wrote stating the initial NHL proposal was unreasonable, but if I also recall, he stated the NHLPA's response-proposal was also problematic too.

He seems to be on the players side, but realize that they will have to give something too, so this can work.

I don't know why people thought a confrontation between Gary Bettman and Donald Fehr would have had a different result.

Agreed, I would think most folks expected some form of lost games. However, I don't think most people felt there was a risk of losing another entire season a few mnths back.

Can't say that is true anymore... seems like a good chunk of fans think the season is already dead.

last time, there was such anger and hatred on both sides, so everyone was prepared. this time around, there is this disturbing sense of indifference. you listen to everyone talk and they come across not only as if they're willing to lose a season, but that they just don't care. it's bizarre.
