They don't chirp like they used to. No more "OMG OMG OMG CODY HODGSON IS THE BEST PLAYER ON THE PLANET AND EVEN ACROSS THE WHOLE UNIVERSE I KNOW IT FOR CERTAIN AND HE WILL WIN THE CALDER TROPHY NEXT YEAR OR THE YEAR AFTER OR THE YEAR AFTER OR THE YEAR AFTER WHENEVER HE FINALLY ACTUALLY STICKS IN THE NHL EVEN THOUGH HE ISN'T EXACTLY TEARING UP THE AHL" anymore.

You see that top 100 prospect list a while back? One prospect on it, in 88th place.

It's sad...I agree. There are a few hidden gems there though. Jensen is 2nd in goal scoring in the SEL and he isnt old enough to play in the AHL yet. We have a handful of under rated D prospects as well and Lack is headed for a NHL career and is one of the best in the AHL. He is 6'5"...he'll be a starter in two three years. We traded our only blue chip draft selection at the last deadline for what turned out to be dead weight going down the stretch and our PP disappeared. I'm not happy.

I can only think of one Canuck fan that was as overhyped about Cody as you claim we all were...and he hates him now.

Until yesterday, Cody was tied for first in the AHL and has a chance to get back in the lead tonight. He's captain of Rochester and bound for a leadership role on the Sabres. He's doing just fine and you seriously missed by a mile on how far ahead Kadri is in developement btw. Burke is going to dump him the minute this lockout is over....and I fear he might be coming this way.

BS. It was the majority of them.

Kassian isn't bad though.

It's interesting, they usually only put the C on guys that are staying in the AHL. A friend of mine got told he was named captain of an AHL team, and he promptly up and left for the bigger pay cheques in Europe, as it basically meant to him that he was never going to stick in the NHL.

Cape Bretton seriously needs Canucks GT prospect Honzik back. He hasnt played a game yet. Out with shoulder injury. They have had a dismal 3-8 start.

No, I don't think so. Just saying, it's interesting they put the C on him. If anything, they don't feel there is going to be a season.

Well I think thats a reasonable speculation. I also think they are grooming him for a leadership role. Thats been one of his assets since the very beginning.

Frank Corrado Named OHL Player of the Week.

http://www.sudburywolves....ratulations-frank-corrado

1g and 6a for a 3 game weekend!

CORRADO was named team captain by Wolves’ Head Coach Trent Cull back in September and the four-year OHL star defenceman has not disappointed. “Frank has been an outstanding leader and performer for us on and off the ice and he really caught fire last weekend offensively” notes Cull. “Frank has been very solid defensively for us as well as he plays in all situations and logs upwards of 30 minutes per game. The Vancouver Canucks have an outstanding player in Frank Corrado.”

Frank Corrado named OHL defenseman of the month. Gillis found a hidden gem here!

http://www.sudburywolves....l-defenceman-of-the-month

The Sudbury Wolves are happy to announce that Wolves’ captain, FRANK CORRADO, has been named OHL defenceman of the month for the month of October. CORRADO tied for the league-lead in scoring among defencemen with 12 points in 11 games for the Pack including one goal and 11 assists with a plus-minus rating of plus-2. He was named OHL Player of the Week to close out October and was the first defenceman to win the award this season following a three-game stretch where he recorded seven points in three games. That stretch included a career-high five assists on October 26 where he was named first star of a 7-2 win over the Niagara IceDogs.

Gaunce Named OHL Player of the Week

Brendan Gaunce is leading the Bulls into the second half of their season, being named OHL Player of the Week after recording two goals, three assists and a +3 rating in victories over Guelph and Kitchener last weekend.

Gaunce edged out Saginaw's Eric Locke, Windsor's Kerby Rychel and Owen Sound goaltender Brandon Hope to earn the award for the first time this season and second in his career.

Gaunce, whose twelve goals lead the Bulls this season, has played an integral role on the team's first ranked penalty kill.

After being chosen to represent the OHL in the Subway Super Series in November, Gaunce was unable to participate in the series due to a shoulder injury that caused him to miss eight games for Belleville.

Back in fine form though, Gaunce looks to lead the Bulls to an East Division title this season and he's off to a good as he rounds out 2012 with a pair of fine performances.
