The players are all saying the same thing... "We want a fair deal"... I've been told that the NBA, MLB, and the NFL all have 50/50 revenue sharing. Weeeeelllllllll... One would be led to believe that a "fair deal" would involve a similar 50/50 split in NHL revenue. Right? OK, perfect... It's time for a fair deal... 50/50 revenue sharing it is

With this new 2 way contract slide thingamabomber rule, Edmonton should absolutely rape every AHL team out there with RNH, Hall, Eberle, Schultz, Hartikanen in the lineup!?
AHL Lineup:

Hall-RNH-Eberle
MPS-Lander-Hamilton
Harti-Pitlick-Abney

Schultz-Musil
Teubert-Fedun
Marincin-Plante

Danis
Roy

This was my favorite.

July 15, 2012 - The NHLPA pays the mafia to place severed horse head in Gary Bettman's bed, as an intimidation tactic. They discover days later that the plan backfired as Bettman is overheard boasting to friends how he spent the night with Sarah Jessica Parker.

Lander blows... they need AHL Vets. Also Plante will be up, he ripped it last year. Should of got called up instead of Teubert. Abney will be on the 4th line.

Pitlick would be higher and on the wing. This would also provide an excellent opportunity to try Hall or Eberle at C!

Hall-RNH-Harti (protection for two, opportunity for the other)
MPS-Eberle-Pitlick (opportunity for two, growth/learning for the other)
Hamilton-Lander-Green (defensive assignments, growth into roles)
4th line

Schultz-Plante (primary offensive, secondary defensive)
Marincin-Fedun (secondary offensive, tertiary defensive)
Teubert-Yeo(tertiary offensive, primary shutdown)
Musil

Danis
Roy

In all honesty, a lockout may prove ultimately beneficial for the growth of our higher end prospects and stars in creating chemistry, growth, and a winning culture. I hate to endorse it, but it does look quite promising!

Great report from MacKenzie (TSN) on the current negotiation impasse. I still believe the knot can be easily unravelled and both sides know the likely formula that will be finally accepted. I think we will lose the preseason (as scheduled) but regular season goes ahead as planned. Make sure and take the time to read the MacKenzie piece, it is really detailed but easily followed. He illustrates how the issues are both very simple and complex.

Richard,

When is the media going to pick up on the fact that the tax payers are going to pay for half of the new arena and they have a chance sway the cba by inisiting on a greater share of revenue for the owner (50/50 split) and that a certain % will be earmarked for new arena?

Thoughts?

hawks sign rozsival 1yr@2 apparently.

short term, decent money. solid player and abit mean.
couldve easily made our top 6 and helped us.

was female dogin for tambs to add this guy all summer, but thought maybe it was because he was asking for stupid money.

fuk tambs, make us better somewhere outside of lottery picks!!
Maybe he didnt want to sign here..

(LB- resigning obvious rfa's does not equate to tambs having a big summer. nor does drafting yakupov. those are on the job description)

Im sure they'll both be added as soon as the first update comes after the season starts.

Thats the exact kind of guy we needed as a stop gap until some of the prospects were ready. He played well on a solid Phoenix team.

Like you said, unless he wouldn't sign here, Tambillini dropped the ball again.

I have to wait to get home from work to play it, but they must be in the game just not on the Oilers roster, Yakupov for sure should be on Sarnia. Schultz might be on Anaheims roster?
