Absolute outstanding piece of work.

Ryan O'Reilly contract dispute is not an exceptional moment. More and more, we will see players in their prime demanding huge dollars. Tim Murray in Buffalo is following the lead of his uncle as they shed and avoid long term deals for veterans.

The new currency will indeed be youth and workable cap space.

PK Subban talks will be bigger than the Treaty of Versailles.

I like the Jets position in this offseason. A number of teams are in big trouble with the cap which opens it up a bit for some free agents to not be asking for completely unreasonable contracts, and some teams will be willing to dump some fairly good players for very little return just to free up cap space to go after some of the bigger free agents on the market. Winnipeg doesn't have a ton of cap space considering how many spots they need to fill but with them all being bottom 6 plus a good defence man, they could be in a good position to take on a couple of pretty good players to put in their bottom 6 from teams looking to dump salary and will a lot of depth.

Oh I’m sure we’ll all hear of the ‘behind the scenes’ efforts and last night even yours truly received word of something that may have involved Evander Kane.

C'mon Pete, this is a gossip site, what did you hear?

This is obviously not ground breaking but I've heard that Chipman told a family friend that Kane is gone....

This kid is insulting ownership and he could care less...

I think Kane is one of our worst turnover machines. Every time he fires it wide while blowing down the wing, the puck clears the zone and ends up coming our way. Just hope they can get good value for him. Maybe Wayne Simmonds and a 3rd

Forget just Kane, all former Thrashers players need to be wiped of this roster. They have been given the country club treatment ever since they got here. I really like the trade proposal that was offered on one of the Philly boards that had the Jets trading Kane and Bogosian for the Schenn brothers, Lecavalier and Philly's second. Now before you all start jumping on me about taking Lecavaliers contract. I think he's just the type of player that young Jets players need to understand what it takes to win a cup and be an elite player. I see him as a solid teacher for our youth.

I like the idea of Vinny in Wpg - one of my favorite all-time players.
