As to the protesters, everyone has the right to peacefully assemble whether I agree with them or not.

Unfortunately when your protest is guaranteed to kill people and extend a pandemic, that is not peaceful.

If you think 100% of doctors are somehow "out to get you" you've got problems.

I never said I like how he speaks. Quite frankly, I think he's a bit annoying when he. Tweets and toots his own horn , but I couldn't imagine speaking everyday and NEVER getting ANY credit or positive coverage from 95% of the media.

He's human, not perfect.

What have the experts said regarding when it is safe for people to get back to work and to open schools and restaurants again? Should location be considered, or does everyone have to wait until NY is at a certain level?

Regardless of when it is done, there will be - with 100% certainty - another increase in cases and thus deaths. Do you then shut everything down again? The shelter in place and stay at home orders were done to flatten the curve so as to not overwhelm the healthcare workers and resources. It is not done so that people will not get the virus (because now that it is out, you can't put the toothpaste back in.

This is not an endorsement of any political figure (for the record, I did not vote for the office of President during the last election as I was not going to vote for the least smelly of two turds). This is simply asking about when it is safe to open back up. The longer this goes on, the less money the country generates and ultimately, the less help the government can provide.

I don’t know the back and forth nonsense lasting how long between the two but just in these times to tweet that, it’s pathetic. I don’t think you can put a timeline on it which I don’t like how they keep doing, all dependent on how we are progressing.

Totally agree that a timeline is dumb, but having a guideline is OK.

So what’s Trump doing about it? A stimulus check...yea that goes a long way when you don’t have a job and have to pay a mortgage groceries and all other things, especially folks with families. Liberate Minnesota!!!

I agree that the stimulus check won't go very far. The other issue is that the system is not built to handle the flow of 22M unemployment claims in a matter of a few weeks. Trump is doing everything he can do, even with a Democratic house and democratic leaders who drag their feet to include their agenda that has nothing to do with the situation that is delaying getting aid out.

I'm a normal working class , educated person. I am a liberal, but I am hardly extreme. My views are dictated by facts. I suspect in a normal situation you and I would be about the same distance from centre but on opposite sides.

Trump has capitalized on the anti intellectual, anti education, anti professional anger of millions of people who are legitimately being screwed.

He just screws them worse but he tells them they're always right so they like him.
