Hey guys, nobody gives a (frank). Why not take it to inboxes so we don't have to listen to it?
- NorthNuck

We do have a thread for this but Booner insists on keeping it going in the main thread.

With the outlook improving, they will do everything to side rail the conversations to create an environment more on their maturity level.

You’re the one trying to derail the conversation. All you had to do was skip past but now, instead, it’s a big deal.

What do you think the atmosphere in Rogers is going to be like this season. Interesting to see how many games they sell out.

Well done Carol.

I have us at around 91 points just missing.

Maybe something will go our way and we can sniff that WC!

alright, new topic:

how long of a leash does travis green get?

argument for short leash: the team is focussed on playoffs and can't afford a slow start.

argument against: lots of new faces so it may take some time to gel.

my opinion: tg and jb are linked. i think they both last the season and if one gets canned, they both do.

Seeing the 3 on 3 overtime with Hughes, Petey & Boeser together was the best hockey of the season last year.

I bet sales start strong. If they are successful we could see a new sell out streak start.

If the Canucks aren't in the playoff picture by late January - early February, then he's toast.

I'd love to see that post. Why don't you dive into your archives of vengeance and post it?

For the sake of everyone here, please post in the forum thread. Thanks.

i'm at 86-90. out of a playoff spot. it'll look closer than it is meaning that they won't be far behind points wise to the last WC spot but there's going to be a few teams bunched up so in order to make it, they'll have to leap over 3-4 teams.

Vegas and SJ and maybe Calgary all taking a small step back. But yeah the WC will be tough. But we do have more scoring depth to help with injuries this year which should equate to about 5 more reg season wins. Injuries are gonna be tough in today's NHL. Need some luck.

You can always count on you guys barging into Carols thread and immediately start your routine and then snivel about being picked on.

That is a very good point .

I was thinking about what Makita said yesterday about everyone coming back in a few weeks and it will settle down. I don't think there will be a bigger year of I told you so ( one way or the other no matter what the outcome) I don't think I have ever seen the fans so divided as this year.

The media just love this. It is keeping all the TSN people employed. I think it was you a few years back that said the only way TSN1040 can now exist was to stir the pot , when they lost the Canucks rights.

People are like sheep and whatever the media says half will follow and get angered 1040 or sit and sing Kumbaya 650

Your opinion is sound. JB just got extended. He’s not going to start over now. He’ll ride TG until the owner tells him different.

injuries are always a factor. and with respect to luck? well, as a canucks fan, i can tell you we get luck.... andrew luck retiring at 29 type of luck.

i'm with you on the scoring. i'm worried about the defense though. i'm not confident in myers and hughes is a rookie so i'm expecting mistakes. those 2 should be getting pretty good minutes so it could be a factor. i'm all in favour of working through hughes' mistakes but will the coach be?

Agreed.

It's very rare to see a GM survive through 2 coach firings, especially if he hired both coaches.

tbh, if they're not going to make the playoffs, i'd rather it be known sooner rather than later.

i have no confidence in jb being a seller at the tdl but if he will be, he needs as much notice as possible.

Ideally, if they are struggling in December then Green should be fired.
