Kero I believe was, but Gaudette was getting a solid 2C roll and was on the top PP.
Pretty lofty for a first year pro and its easy to project that he'd be the top C in Utica by February if things followed a reasonable projection. - Lindenis#1
my mistake. I had thought I had a read an update on him playing 1st line center in the absence of Gaunce and Darcy. Don't care enough to go find the tweet though lol. |

Might have been a Horvat-Pettersson scenario.
Equal-ish TOI, but one gets things easier while one is relied on for more heavy lifting. |

$1.5 billion ![:)](https://hbcf.s3.amazonaws.com/images/emoticons/happy.gif) I’d buy the canucks and play Granlund and Pouliot 30 minutes a night to ruin Nuckers Xmas. Oh and I’d also extend Benning for 25 years to send Lefty to an asylum |

I’d rather Gauds play 4th line C this year in the NHL than 2nd or 3rd in the AHL.

I’m not saying Gauds might not get there, but AHL coaches are just like NHL coaches. They trust the guys with experience more than those without. Gaudette played in only 4 games. Was pointless in two. 1g 2a is one and 1g in the other. I believe he was on the PP1 unit.
I’m I’m love with the narrative that all Canucks prospects who get sent down will play “big minutes”. Reid Boucher is the first line winger, because he produces. |

I really don't get the NCAA reference. Picking a few players who happen to be brought up through the NCAA who were parts of bad plays, and then referencing their developmental "junior" league is just dumb imo. For every play that Jake or Goldobin or Leipsic, or any other player gaffes on, no one brings up the OHL or WHL development as part of their problem. Rookies, or sophomores are going to have mistakes, lazy habits/tendencies, etc no matter what league they enter from. Its all part of the process of developing. To me, Its more-so just a matter of players, on two of the worst teams in the league, probably playing in games where they shouldn't. Gaudette isn't ready, and I bet you kings fans would argue the same with Rempal and Forbort. Not really sure what the NCAA has to do with it. - Codes1087
This is very on point and frankly you can’t just put kids in a position where they’re (frank)ing up constantly. Green has done a pretty good job of this mind you. |

Benji only has a couple years left until his heart explodes anyhow. You would be wasting your money. Everyone here saw how Gillis transformed. He was semi-healthy when he started but by the end of his tenure I thought he was almost a goner. |

Well I’d consider PP1 and reliable 2c as big minutes compared to 10 or less minutes here.
I’m on your side though. The AHL isn’t easy breazy lemon squeezy. If it was then guys like Lind, Gadjovich, Jasek, etc. Wouldn’t be fighting to make themselves relevant down there. |

I saw a stat on Horvat yesterday. He has played more than 40 minutes more than any other forward in the league, and he is also the league leader in faceoffs taken, by an incredible margin. |

The team has no depth. What other choices are there? If Horvat was 19 I'd call his overuse an issue, but not at 23.
Until Gagner and Boeser came back, these were the wingers on the team:
Schaller
Leipsic
Motte
Granlund
Eriksson
Roussell
Goldobin
Virtanen
Archibald
Boucher
Like only two of those aren't the poop emoji. Maybe you want to be generous and give a :/ face to a few of them. |

undoubtedly so. The kid has produced consistently this year, all the while getting absolute trash line mates almost every night. Horvat is a heck of a player. |

just saw the stat
Horvat has taken 130 MORE faceoffs than the next leading center.
656 total
Eric Staal has taken the 2nd most at 526.
Horvat is averaging 25 faceoffs a game. |

The team is in desperate need of one more "Sure thing" winger. A lot of the wingers are "other guy" wingers for the line. Baertschi, Virtanen, Granlund, Roussell etc. are guys that you'd cycle through as the third player on the line as it stands now.
Goldy looks good, but Bo needs Boeser but Boeser and EP are a good mix.
It'd be really nice if Horvat could bring his shtick consistently enough that Green doesn't use an off game to put him back on the 4th line.
Dahlen or Lind desperately need to be a player or Jimbo's gonna go big game hunting and buy another Eriksson.
Could see Jimbo easily floating 20 million over to Bob and Panarin this summer as is. |

I do t we him struggling under the workload and making mistakes like the kids do. He’s young, but much more capable
