Your opinion regarding the "perceived" abuse of Crosby/Malkin is refreshingly honest. Do they take abuse? Of course they do. Just as you stated. Right along with every other star player in the league. |

Let's be honest, this team is soft. I'm not saying Simmonds is the answer, but if he got back to his old form he'd be a great fit. |

Maybe in his old form I would give up a top pick for him, but not now. |

I'm not sure we'd have to give a top pick. Maybe send them Pearson, and a 4th or a future pick? |

Mario would never have found himself pinned under the likes of Haley. Don’t need to go out and get a Reaves the culture of the team needs to change. |

Connor McDavid gets 2 games for an illegal check to the head...
It was refreshing to actually read "They give as much as they get".
Maybe it is just me, but I would call McDavid a superstar in the league. So for a superstar to get 2 games, with a relatively clean history, after a bad hit is also refreshing. So it is safe to say Crosby and Malkin have a much more "Gritty" history with their actions. I just want to know how it is possible that McDavid has twice as many games suspended than Crosby and Malkin combined? |

Kind of funny after Malkin just got 1 game for blatantly trying to hit some guy in the head with his stick. If anything, the league needs to keep those two goons under control. |

Reaves has more goals than Simon. Doesn’t matter who they get unless Sully plays them. At this point, we should hang on to the pick. This team is soft and pretty darn stupid. Johnson, Simon, sitting Blueger. Malkin and his minus 20, whatever Phil is doing these days, league leading shorties against. Goalies are below average...sadly as I am I Big Murray fan...but he sucks.
Oldest player in the league never gets a game off? Pearson is just pathetic, we had to trade big rig, because of the Wilson KO. ZAR wins a fight and breaks his hand. Pettersen keeps fighting...and losing.
No team is afraid of these Penguins at this point. They could be up 3-0 and I’m pretty sure they still might lose. GMJR and HCMS are not on the same page anymore.
I hope they get it together, but it’s deep into the season and they have had one decent stretch and a bunch of half ass effforts. Still trying to play a speed game' without the speed. Did I miss anything here. Whatever. Hope they fix it but not very optimistic as you can see. |

It would be awesome to have the net front presence, but agreed Guentzel already could bring that. Also both players are extremely slow. If he was so worried he should have offered Reaves the deal he gave Jack Johnson this offseason. |

I think Jim is sweating bullets knowing he has a 1st rounder while watching the Metro load up. He'll lose his mind when the Islanders trade for Stone.
So.... that's a big yes another trade is coming. |

Because you are a Flyer dumbass. You probably watch you tube highlights of Penguin “assaults” and pretty much ignore what led to the retaliation.
Raffl was falling into Malkin with a two handed crosscheck and punched him in the back of his head (clearly unintentional) But what you saw was Malkin swing a stick and miss, then Raffl dive like the Flyer he is.
Go back to you tube, plenty more how crazy and over the line Sid and Malkin are. |

I've been saying this ever since the Reaves trade. It's like they don't even talk about roster composition.
I agree about being charmin soft. I'm not talking about fighting either. I'm talking about being hard on the boards. Winning puck battles. Hard to take the puck off them. Standing up at the blue line. Teams breeze through the neutral zone like it's the autobahn. |

IMO this is even more reason not to trade. The Isles and Jackets were already better than the Pens, now the Jackets get Duchene and if the Isles pick up Stone? What’s the point? Who can the Pens get that will be THAT profound to the lineup?
Maybe Nyquist? I think the Pens should just ride out what they have and hopefully make better moves in the off-season. |

I wouldn't make any moves for only one year, so I agree in that regard. I hate giving up with such a short window remaining.
I tend to agree with MattStrat.... I like most of this roster. I don't like how it's being deployed and I think Sullivan has to make adjustments to his system. He apparently wants to play the same brand of hockey from 15/16, but doesn't have the horses to play that way.
If they tightened up and played a patient brand of hockey. Better puck support and defensive awareness. If they did these things, I think they can beat anybody. It's basically how they won the 2nd cup in 16/17. |

Maybe this is just smoke and GMJR is looking at Hubs or Hoff out of Florida... hey, a guy can dream
I do recall that only a few of us were interested in Kane last year. The cost to acquire was indeed low. Imagine how many less arguments we would’ve had this year had we gotten Kane and never signed JJ AND we just kept Cole and never brought in Brassard (because we weren’t bringing in Brassard and Kane) or maybe we let Cole walk but we keep JO and without JJ, JO stays on par or takes another baby step forward
Now, Dallas just picked up Lovejoy and they’re not done. Watch them pick up both Hayes AND Zucc or some poop |
