Agreed.

It's always exciting to have that young talent and possibly see them play in the NHL, but it isn't worth it. Let the kid develop.

Not as talented, obviously, but it's a similar issue with the Bruins and Pastrnak

It's usually a better option. The way the Lightning roster is shaping up, Drouin is kinda on the outside looking in, but sending him back to junior is pointless.

He needs to enter his next stage of development.

Like you said another year in juniors would be a waste. If you put him on a line with some solid NHLers he'll be fine.

I think he's ready and that he'll have a good year.
