Cool, thanks. So Pelle outplays his idol and mentor?
Despite the goaltending, I think Team Ontario would win, with any of USA, Quebec or Sweden potentially finishing second.

Team Alberta would not be much fun to play against, but I think it's the weakest lineup in terms of overall offensive talent. They'd pick off a few wins in a 10-game round robin, but I think they'd finish last overall.

Team Ontario has way to much size and skill.... if they had even a marginally better goalie this wouldnt be a contest.
Also, if Team Quebec had a better and bigger RW than Briere... I think they would really make it a competition. I can only imagine Giroux and Gags together (in their primes)
EDIT:
Hahah Im sitting here thinking about how truly terrifying the thought of playing against Lindros and Pronger at the same time |

I went with team USA, slightly, over Team Ontario, with Quebec and Sweden rounding out my top four.
The US team is also incredibly well rounded, and IMO, has the best defense and mix of grit and skill up front. Bob Froese's penchant for implosion in the playoffs is the sole doubt about Ontario's team. It's deeper than a mineshaft everywhere else. Quebec is also a very solid squad, although a bit small with stellar goaltending. Sweden also has great goalies and two way play, but lacks a shooter-even though Renberg could light the lamp.
This was a fun read and great debate. |

I think Ontario might be the only team that could stop both LeClair and Homer. Holy moly, that's a handful for any defense pair. - Jsaquella
I don't think those who are too young to remember Dailey know what a force he could be at the top of his game. At his best, he was basically an Al MacInnis type. The Count was huge, too, and he and Pronger together would be a beastly pairing. |

Dailey was a beast. That's a TON of nasty. Basically when it boiled down to Ontario vs USA for me, it was rookie Boosh vs Froese. Rookie Boosh had the good playoff run and a real solid season. Froes had a tremendous season, but his work in the playoffs was subpar. |

That would pretty much be my pick, too, possibly with Quebec dropping Sweden to fourth. Playing Team Alberta would be a costly two points for some of these teams.
And yes, Team Ontario would be hated and feared by some of the other squads. |

They would be the Iron Sheik and Nikolai Volkov tag team, for sure. Big, nasty defense. Two monsters up front who can score and be physical, and oh yeah, the guy who is in the Hall of Fame. |

I flipped the USA & Ontario, and had Quebec third. Not that it was a blowout in any way, shape or form. |

I think the difference maker would be Howe....he would both calm any issues in team USA's end as well and provide the offensive jump to go along with Roenick and LeClair.
Team USA takes this |

Guys if it's a tournament that means Briere is the best player. |

So I am 25... which means that Pronger and Lindros are probably the meanest skilled players I have watched. I honestly cant think of anyone who could dominate in all facets like these guys... |

Really cool idea Bill!
I got:
1. Team Sweden
2. Team USA
3. Team Quebec
4. Team Manitoba
5. Team Ontario
6. Team Alberta
7. Team Czech Republic
8. Team British Columbia
9. Team Russia
10. Team Finland
11. Team Saskatchewan - NickTheKid87
I don't think Team Sweden could get through the 10-game round robin without a couple key guys going down, and then it would be players like Marcus Ragnarsson or Patrik Juhlin who would have to step up. |
