I think it's more of they don't want to be in Nashville at this point.

does "competitive" mean eastern conference since they are so much more elite than the western conference?(sarcasm)

I wish weber and suter would make a decision because all this speculation is killing me.

since we are still in the hunt for the division we are not going to be sellers at the deadline, this is the time to make a statement to weber and suter that we want to be competitive. make is happen poile!

Yep. No matter how much we wring our hands, they ultimately make their own choice to stay here or go somewhere else. The only thing I really hope for is that DP can trade and get something for one/both when the time comes. My fear is that they will both eventually walk away as UFAs (Suter this year Weber next). Hope DP doesn't go that route.

Always love seeing our former Preds in town. Love those guys and sorry they couldn't stay here.

Well, if money is not an object as we keep hearing, there is obviously something they don't like about being here. If what DP said was true ("they know they are going to be paid regardless of whether it's here or somewhere else").

Just seems to me that they want to be in a bigger market.

The overhead replay is quite conclusive showing the puck being kicked in whether intentional or not. Any of the other camera angles would support the goal being good - but not the overhead that was finally shown which was one reason the crowd didn't go ballistic. It got quiet after they showed the overhead replay.

We do play NYI tomorrow... could just pick up a couple of them and leave one of ours behind.

From the feed I saw (Philly), he was behind the net when he kicked it! he should at least get credit for that.

At this rate, I don't see much movement of Weber or Suter until the offseason (unless something terrible happens). Those guys are too important to a playoff run, and I think the playoff revenue is more important. We will get solid returns for them whenever dealt. But, if we are a playoff team, and still vying for the division, who's to say we don't send some prospects and high draft picks (I'd venture to say we can spare a couple) and possibly a younger rostered player in exchange for one of those Islanders...

It was an outstanding kick shot, especially considering, as you said, where he kicked it from. Plus, he really didn't kick it directly in the goal. Great bank shot Gabriel!
