Can't see anyone taking Hamilton on with his term and cap hit along with his age

Palat may be easier but we would still need to retain and not get much back

The issue is which free agents are realistically targets as other than gritsyuk we don't seem to have any other prospect that could make a move up and contribute

SJ desperately needs a solid RD AND a PP QB. Dougie would be a perfect fit + help get to the cap floor. His term is ideal too - just not sure what the assets would look like going each way.
Ultimately wouldn't mind Hamilton + Palat (SJ could use another vet winger) on SJ at full $ depending on what is attached.

Imagine if Fitz hadn’t traded a young, big, strong, fast center for a 30 something that had proven his cap was as a role player. Zacha on this team changes EVERYTHING.
Let’s hope Fitz can clean up his 2 garbage contracts and dump Hamilton & Palat. Let’s Go Devils!

Moving Haula seemed inevitable and likely the right move. But his replacement will likely have a larger cap hit which is troublesome to me

Hmmm, third line center that is actually good. Worth the incremental money to move this team forward, IMHO.
