Screw him! Leafs need to get some backbone and stop sweet talking that loser. He has always been a spoiled brat and continues to be! He’s a user. You can be sure if he wanted and eight year deal from someone that he’d be sweet as pie to the Leafs. Never mind “letting him go”……..tell him to beat it! He has no class and the Leafs deserve better. Leafs treated him “like a God” and paid him over $60mil and this is his “thanks”. Not that I want him back but how about a little class! If we had Bennett and Florida had Marner, we’d have won the series. Nobody needs these soft players if they want to win! What did McD do against Florida!? Too many high paid dipsee doodler soft players are a recipe for losing. So long Marner, don’t let the door hit you on the ass, on the way out!

Heard on TSN that Leafs mgmt reached out to MM camp with an offer before the TDL. MM’s camp weren’t interested so the next logical step for leaf’s mgmt was to field offers….he nixed the Carolina deal.

$100M ($12.5M aav) usd contract is equivalent to $137M (17.1M aav) CAD. Will be interesting to see what’s out there for him if he chooses to go to a US team.
