I actually have no issue with McDavid winning. Dude arguably deserves it more than anybody, given what he's done borderline solo. But that would require a trash-tier franchise with an admittedly less awful than a few years ago but still crummy front office who's got the second dirtiest good player in the league and two other disgusting people on the roster winning as well, so
And even if none of that was true, which it is, I would still need them to lose since I'm from Calgary
This is one of literally only two situations I would ever cheer for Dallas (the other being vs Chicago, ie Even Worse Franchise Than Edmonton), and they haven't even shown up. I'm actively offended they beat Colorado at this point. |

Trump probably would just turn it into another chance to tweak some berries by saying Alberta is the “fantastic home of such wonderful champions”, and they could definitely be a part of the US....

Alberta has oil. Which means more higher paying jobs. Which means tax revenue. Albertans are told their money is going to pay bums in Toronto, or for Quebec to make everything French. Of course these are lies. But it gets the low IQ oil workers all up in a huff.
Is that internal strife? Not really. Sadly we’re just an apartment above a meth lab. When you guys start cooking, the fumes start to drift up. The US so badly damaged its reputation and standing among Canadians that its galvanized us in a sense. The premier in AB played her cards, she’s a fascist separatist. Must’ve been hard for her watching 20,000 ppl in Edmonton last night proudly belt out O’ Canada.
