Anyone feeling lucky for tonight? If someone has any good luck charms, please whip them out. With the odds set up as they are, I’m hoping we don’t drop to the fifth spot. |

I can see Pittsburgh getting the #1 and Boston getting the #2, as we drop to #6. |

Well that went pretty much as bad as it could. We got bumped 2 spots to #6.
Only positive is that Pitts and Boston didn't win it either. |

Maybe, but I doubt to 6.
Most likely Desnoyers, O’Brien, or reaching on a defenseman like Mrtka.
Suppose you can’t rule out McQueen if they believe his back will be fine. |

Would Utah or the Hawks be interested in picking up a couple of extra firsts? |

Flyers draft position, idiotic picks and awful luck has condemned this team to mediocrity or worse for more than a decade. This outcome extends that for several more years. Once again we get to pick through the leavings and pretend we get a gem. |

I dont think I’d be willing to toss in extra 1sts to move to 3 or 4. We need high picks. I’d only do it for one of the top 2 to get Schaefer or Misa, and those two aren’t listening.
There’s a lot of talent where they sit at 6. 3-7 aren’t projected that much different in value this draft. |

Slips to where? If he’s still there at 5, maybe I consider it if it doesn’t cost too much. Possibly 3? But I expect him to be around 4 or 5. |

There’s an outside chance something like:
Schaefer
Misa
Martone
Desnoyers
Frondell
Hagens
That’s what you’re hoping for if you like Hagens.
But I wouldn’t count on it.
Based on prior years, hell last year, you never know. The only thing that is just about in stone is that Schaefer and Misa go first and second. Their order to be determined. |

Slips to where? How about to four? At 5, I'm pushing hard.
Why worry about the cost? Who is available later in the round that moves the needle?
If there's a chance to get a number 1 center, and if they're sold on Hagens, why not? Personally, I wouldn't do it if I were Chi or Utah, but I'd kick the tires.

There didn’t seem to be a consensus beyond Schaefer and Misa so who knows how the other teams grade their boards. You can’t rule it out. Also possibly Frondell could be there. I wouldn’t be at all shocked if we see a surprise pick in the first 5. |

Chicago I bet likes Martone right now. He’d be a great wing to put with Bedard.
As for Utah, how much you wanna give to move up 2? They might listen. I don’t think I’d offer. Not with the way Hagens played this year. I’d rather roll the dice with Desnoyers and the extra picks you’d have to offer up to get him. |

I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if we move down on draft day. If a certain player is there at 6 and 8 or 9 wants to move up, I could totally see Danny trade down and take Mrtka or McQueen. |
