Well said Chris and thanks for writing, you’re awesome. Unfortunately. The injuries killed us. I do think we need to take a very good look at our training staff and figure out why this is continually happening. I agree with most of your points Chris, but would much rather see a different coach. Maybe a guy like Mike Sullivan behind the bench vs Keefe. Someone who drives the players to work hard. I don't think Keefe is the guy to take us to the promised land.

Bottom 6 needs to be gutted almost in its entirety. I would also trade and/or buyout Palat.

Willing to give Fitz one more year, but he needs to prove his value this off-season in my opinion

My concern with the Devils is that I think they've given up too much cheap future depth for vets and it's prematurely shortened the length of their window.

We have the GM & Coach? What team are you watching? The GM that traded Zacha for Haula? The GM that signed the same for $3million plus per? The GM that signed Palat to a lengthy $6 million per contract with limited movement? The GM that gave Ruff a 3 year contract only to be forced to fire him? The GM that passed on multiple available UFA last summer to sign Tatar for $1.8 million contract? The Tatar that finished the year before in the AHL and no teams offered him? The GM that HAD to sign Keefe immediately after being FIRED for his lack of success with the Toronto All Stars? Multiple players there said the team lacked discipline and accountability under Keefe. So I guess our young stars don’t need discipline or accountability?
Keefe is so soft that after the 4 nations break the team was a no show for much of the 2nd half. What did he do to address the lack of urgency or desire to go 100% every game and every period? He gave them days without practice, He praised them in the media, and looked softer than he did in Toronto. The same Marshmallow that routinely was out coached and outmatched in lines.
This team deserves better from both positions in the organization! The fans deserve better! And the players deserve better! Stop wasting years of a talented core!
