Next 5 draft picks after Celebrini? Any collection of players that lets Ottawa draft Levshunov at 7 would be grand thanks! Outside of Fantasyland, it will be interesting to see how many blueliners get drafted in the first round. Any goalies? |

Good. Tanking should be rewarded. SJS was an AHL caliber team in a lot of positions. They should be rewarded for committing to such a bad team.

lol I honestly think Gary should have just handed UTAH the second overall pick. You know to reward the failed ARZ franchise with a great player. Just change all the draft rules like he did for Vegas. All good. |

I expect Bettman to give PIT McKenna. Can't be without a generational talent or else they might move to Oklahoma.

I call BS. The odds of the order being exactly the same, is about the same odds as the Oil winning the first overall 4 outta 5 years. G Bettman is fooling nobody with the league picking who goes in what order. |

... the league literally posts the video of it every year.
there's some green stuff on the ground outside you should probably go get a feel of. |

It's not as far fetched as it appears. They don't do 16 draws to establish the order.
But the NHL is a joke. The process is extremely convoluted and has little transparency. Just get a glass barrell. Load it with team logo balls based on lotto odds. So San Jose gets 37 balls. Detroit gets 1. Etc...Spin the barrell. Get some minor hockey kid wearing a blindfold reach in and grab a ball. There is your #1 pick. No conspiracy.

No news is good news for the Ducks. We kept getting knocked down In Every draft lottery. Keeping our pick is a OK result.
As for the pick. The Ducks probably won't take a Russian. Russians usually prefer the east coast teams. And Anaheim is as for from Russia as you can get in the NHL. Lushenov, Lindstrom, Eisermsn are all possibilities.
Tiny chance that the Ducks can trade down. But we'd need a star player to make that happen. But Verbeek seems reel intent on waiting. So a Tiny chance is correct. |

Just to keep the conspiracy train rollin. Nobody found it odd that all these articles came out about Celebrini’s ties to the Bay Area before the draft, even having Draymond Green talk about him to ESPN, then the Sharks just happens to win the draft? |

I find it very odd that a largely forgettable team market with the worst record and highest % chance of winning the lottery does actually win the lottery. Clearly it's a conspiracy. |

The Sharks were the worst team in the league, standings-wise and by a wide margin on paper. They were the odds-on favorite to win the lottery. I don't think it's that big of a stretch to bring up his ties to the area when they're the most likely team to get him.
Not really seeing what the conspiracy part here is |

Obviously Bettman scammed the lottery for San Jose. Rumor is SJS ownership was considering re-locating to Haiti to grow the sport in a new market and Bettman gifting them Celebrini when they finished with the highest percentage chance of winning the lottery was to prevent that re-location. |

The maththematical odds of " random " ping pong balls exactly mimicking the order of the teams actual standing is highly improbable. |
