You are later than usual, stuffing turkey?

Great game by the Wings beating a club that is down. Gonna be a much harder task in Boston tomorrow. Lyon was not really tested. Will they give Alex 3 in a row? He seems to be more of a good luck charm than a competent puck-stopper at this point. I bet they turn to Husso. But at this point they could just trade Reimer to Edmonton for a 2nd or Holloway.....they are desperate! I feel ok with the Wings running with Husso/Lyon.

Great overall team defense last night. They took away the Devils' time and space. Only gave up 16 shots. And gee... look at that... they finally gave Lyon a couple games and he's played excellent both games. He looked very calm, cool and composed. Hope they start Lyon against the Bruins. Let the goalies' play decide who takes over as starter and see what happens. Still can't believe that crappy goal Reimer let in during OT against Ottawa when he ducked so the puck would not hit him... just an awful soft goal at the worst time. In terms of goaltending... I don't give two $hits about a goalie controversy or any past stats of their goalies. I care about who's playing the best right now.

Compher and Fabbri have been really good the last few games. Looks like Raymond has gotten his mojo back and playing like his rookie year... team needs him to keep it up. On to Boston... It will be a much harder game.

The boys did a great job limiting Jersey from any sustained pressure...... although Lyon wasn't tested he looks comfortable and simply wanting of an opportunity.... the 11 forward, 7 d seems to help and as long as it works why not..... Boston is a different animal, hopefully the boys are ready at puckdrop and if Husso gets the nod hopefully the softie doesn't deflate the team....go wings

I almost muted theTV, got sick of them making excuses for "jet-lag" constantly. Yeah, 6hrs is a touch difficult, but with the proper rest, nutrition, and planning it's not that big of a deal. It starts a few days in advance, but professionals have incredibly talented staffs who help them deal. My issue, more than anything, was it felt like excuses were made "just in case" we played like crap...

NJD are struggling a bit right now, but we showed up ready to play and it showed. D was awesome, but even our Fs played tight, there was no room for the NJD to move and get truly set up. I did see our PP have some zone entry issues, which needs to be looked at, has been an issue for a while.

Was a good win, much-needed. We hit Thanksgiving tied with PHL (?!?!?!?) for WC2. That's pretty solid, and much like the Major League Cleveland Indians, "...this team just finds a way to keep winning!" We just need to find the 60min game, play that stiffling D like last night, and get some consitent G work. Lyon looked good, but because the team played a comprehensive D game, he didn't face many high-threat scoring chances. I agree with the above: 3 Gs, play the hot hand. If nothing else, we end up benefitting from the Yzerman Mind Trick and fleece some desperate team.

Good game. Been brining my birds since 3pm yesterday, gonna inject and drop them early this afternoon.....might even watch the LIONS!!! Happy Thanksgiving, my friends. So thankful for y'all, our Wings, the gifts I've been granted in life....and that Jeremy fought through adversity to come back to us.

Chow down today, get to Bean Town, and wear them bears down!!! LFGRW!!!!

Yeah, I had 3/4 typed but a major repair we’ve been waiting for 3 or so years for just got started on the house. After the game I had some things I had to get back in place. And those guys dressed as turkey rear ends messed me up

Looking forward to tomorrow’s game also hoping to see if Lalonde has any sense to come back with Lyon again. Lyons numbers with Florida and the couple games with the wings show him to be a far better option than Husso or Riemer. Without Lyon Florida does not make the playoffs last year. He has shown to be more than a competent goaltender if given a chance.

Totally agree. I'll be surprised if Lyon doesn't get the start against Boston. If they start Husso then LaLonde is as dumb as Blashill. I think Lyon is an underrated goalie. The naysayers point to the fact that he's only been an AHL goalie, blah, blah, blah. That doesn't mean jack $hit to me. All I care about is if he's playing the best right now. Reimer's wins have all come against crappy teams. Husso flat out sucks. Between the two of them they almost always let in at least 3 or 4 goals with a couple of soft goals (which deflates any momentem in a game). Lyon controls his rebounds pretty good I've noticed... we'll see if he can keep playing good.

It will be a very tough game against Boston. Wings MUST get better at holding onto a lead going into the 3rd period. It was pathetic how they wilted against Ottawa and Toronto in the 3rd periods (getting outshot by a large margin).

Hope ypu had a nice Thanksgiving, Vlad! And hop all of you did.

IF DRW are going to push for a WC slot, they need to....wait for it; cut diwn GAA, hold onto leads, play 60min games. Right? We all agree on that part. The only way I see for us to push for WC1/2 is to have stronger net presence, wholly agree going with the hot hand. We can't repy on who's being paid more, balh blah blah.... I thought Husso was going to fare better that he has, reckon I was wrong.....Hot Hand starts, imho.

Walman's out today. Need to tighten up the d-line, as hass been well documented here and other sites....

Good grief... that's not sounding good at all... Hope for the best... plan for the worst. Wings need to replicate what they did against New Jersy... use their team speed and take away time and space from Boston. And hopefully their PP will come back to life this game.

Petry-Chiarot 2D, Holl-Maatta 3D, Ghost with Mo Sides..

Maata's been a solid signing, good positioning & outlet passing. Holl's ok, but his D is lacking overall. Petry's a good D guy who seems to know when to jump in the play and when not to.....most of the time. We really need D help. Sign Ghost for 2yrs, give the D kids a chance to truly develop. Just my thought.

2-0 Winngs after 1.

Cat robs a Bruin, nets a breakawy. Kid's a pure scorer. We really need him to break out if we plan on running against the rest of the East. Defense has been looking better since they've started playing in the face of the offensive team...miss Walman's speed, but doing ok.

Husso looks good, absorbing more shots, fewer rebounds which is another way opposing teams have truly hammered us, stronger play keeping soft goals out.....

Good game. 5-2 DRW.Husso looked good, heldrebounds down, which key against a team lile BOS that swarms the net hunting for rebounds to pop in easy goals.
