I really hope that the God Emperor Tortorella isn’t planning on dressing Walker-Seeler as the 3rd pair and sitting both kids. Though, it would be totally in character for the a-hole to do just that.

Bad enough that either Brink or Foerster will be sitting so a talentless goon can play. Pitiful.

All the kids need to play if they can’t develop any further in the A. I’m really hoping that torts has been told to approach it this was but have my doubts.

If that comes to pass, then I’d have questions to DB about what the plan is here. Play all our vets and finish with 75 pts or play all the kids and see them improve, finish with 70 pts and a higher pick. I know which one I’d take.

ND will play, just now way around it, hate it. Funny thing is I think Farabee is the one who might sit some games, unless he shows he is back on track, stupid but I think it is true. I don't mind TK with Cates, they had some chemistry last season. Cates has a good stick, usually in the right position for a TO and wins board battles, I think that goes well with TK. I would rather TK with Coots.

it is the miracle play, beginning of the season, even though we are not a playoff team, we might be, hey we have a 4th line like the Islanders, can we grid it out like them into the playoffs. Hopefully as the Flyers lose, the idea fades. I never hope for a loss or a Flyer not to play well but I truly hope even Torts will see ND is way behind the play in todays NHL.

come on Bill humor on your take with ND having a spot over a kid? I don't think TOI will be the answer, 4th line plays well, they will get their minutes.

yea, I don't have a big issue with Torts, except when he likes an old school player. Last year, his first year, all coming off injury, it was a feeling out process, an excuse but one I was ok with. This season, the kids are alright, play them. The stock of the system finally took at step forward last season, we need that again. We will be trading some of these kids at some point. Teams want young players, ND stock is not going up anytime soon, play the kids.

The roster is catering to the fourth line, I would expect nothing less from a piss poor organization like this

ND isn't their competition. I don't want Foerster or Brink on the fourth line, playing eight minutes with Poehling and Hathaway. And the Flyers aren't going to create a 4th "scoring" line. Their 4th line will be used the traditional way -- mostly for checking and physicality. That's just the reality of how they'll be deployed. I don't want that to be Foerster's duties nor is that suitable for Brink. Foerster and Brink are each other's competition for right now, with pressure on someone like Farabee to maintain their spot.

The co-GM’s crowning achievement in the offseason is assembling this killer 4th line. Can’t wait to hear JJ wax poetic about Poehling, Hathaway, and Deslauriers.

that is the main problem/issue. they refuse to evolve

They have options to have both brink and forest in the top 9. They refuse to use those options. I dont want to hear you cant have laughton on the 4th line. You can and they can also lay more than 8 minutes.

ND is the main reason why you can't play them more. Goes back to no need for GH signing as well. But that is what the coach-cogm1 wanted. Danny is just a puppet. Remember how giddy danny was talking about the staal signing? I member.

This rebuilding crap is just that, crap. I am amazed how much power, say, and input they have allowed this coach to have in this organization. It will never ever hit bottom for this franchise

said this last week. The felating has already has started.

Cracks me up how they push this 4th line stuff in 2023. they pay their 4th line over 5 million. Wonder where that ranks amongst rebuilding teams.

It is interesting how recent Flyer GM’s have failed from the first jump. Hextall should have stripped it to the studs. He was most likely not allowed but we will never know for sure.

Danny’s first order of business should have been to sack Tortorella.

Fletcher was just a Dave Scott stooge.

All of this organization’s failures just snowball after one big bad initial decision.

ND is the entire problem lol, he’s extremely limited to fighting. Hathaway and RP can both skate and play the game. Look at the avalanche fourth line, Coglianio and O’Connor, players that aren’t goons, hockey players

on a side note while only preseason, that building has been empty. Hope it stays that way for the joke the flyers have become. Would love to know what the season ticket renewal % was

Thank you …

I think this 4th line will get more minutes but I get the normal thought process for 4th. I don’t see an issue with a young kid playing with Phoeling and Hathaway, though you are correct prefer top 9.

Your thoughts on ND above Allison ?
