Interesting poll of players about new rules they would like to see implemented. A few mentioned the PP that runs the entire 2 minutes regardless of how many times the team scores. Flyers would get caved, but I like the idea.
The other item of note was extending the OT to avoid the shootout. I think extending it may require for teams to go deeper in their line-up. Have to believe getting some bottom 6 guys time in OT would generate more goals.
I would be in favor of both. |

Ive always wanted to see a PP at the end of the game extended the full 2 minutes if the team on the PP was down by a goal. Why should they be penalized because the other team commited a penalty with less than 2 minutes left?
The PP would carry over if it were at the end of the 1st or 2nd, so why not at the end of the 3rd? If they score and tie it, OT continues as usual. If they don't, game over.

You’d think the results would mean it’s ended but I’m not going to bank on it. |

If you pull your goalie and get called for icing, why does the goalie get to go back in the net? You can't change lines. Let the goalie stay on the bench and make the team defend their goal. Anarchy!
Why don't more teams pull their goalie once they get possession in OT?

Bill, I'm not following when the Alumni Game will be played... Will it be a special (charity?) event with tickets being sold... or possibly before a scheduled game, with fans arriving early? - ForeverFlyer16

Bill, is there some specific reason why, when they know they are recording for YouTube or whatever, that they don't pass around a wireless mic to the reporter asking the question? (And/or have someone hold a boom mic over their heads?) |

I'd like to see the team on the PK not be able to dump the puck down the ice. If they do, it should still be considered icing |
