Our local rink set the ice last week. My kids have stick + puck tonight and tomorrow, their regular season starts next week. Hockey is back.

I had a B league hat trick and 5 point game last night. I’m officially allowed to join the Jeff Carter hate train I believe?

Don't need no credit card to ride that train.

Ha. I miss playing so much. The scheduling in the leagues here are awful though and the games are mostly too late for me.

Tatar is overrated. His regular season numbers are great but he was a total ghost in the playoffs last year. 1pt in 12 games. He’s not gonna help any team win a Cup 🤷‍♂️

Ain't worried about winning cups, we already got 3 from this core. Thanks for playing though.

Yeah that’s so obvious given the stupid ass trade to overpay Karlsson. That’s totally not an attempt to win a Cup

We need regular season help, the division is crazy. If you get him at a good price who cares haha.

Are you the same guy that was over in the Devils blog comments being an A-hole to the Pens fan who (respectfully) posted there after the EK trade while also saying the Pens should of obtained Hellebuyck instead of Karlsson?

Saying it was an overpay is hilarious. Pens rid of 3 out of their 4 worst contracts in that trade.

Does Will Butcher have a chance of making the pens roster?

Yeah his 4 goals in 45 games before being traded was really helping the team.

They will demote him to the DU Pioneers where he'll get more ice time.

Why don’t we just PTO all the good players?

If Dubas can get Patrick Kane on a PTO, injury or no injury, he should be burned at the stake for witchcraft.

Conversely, if he can't, he should be fired for his ineptitude.

Dubas's plan presented to FSG in his interview:

Step 1) trade all our bad players for EK.

Step 2) sign all the good players to PTOs.

Then presumably something like:

Step 3) TDL plan, trade late draft picks in the far future for all the good rentals.

Step 4) Win Cup.

Step 5) Sign all the good UFAs to team-friendly contracts.

Pens actually signed 3 guys, not 2, to PTO's yesterday. Former Kings great Austin Wagner was the other.

I'd probably put the Kunitz and Hossa trades in the best category as well....
