I say 4-5yrs, most prospects will take 3-4 years to reach the NHL after their draft, another 1-2 years to be productive.

the thing is other teams are ahead of them in their rebuild so even making the playoffs won't be easy. Detroit, Ottawa, Buffalo...none playoffs teams right now but ahead of MTL in their rebuild.
