Any idea why York rushed off the ice after scoring that OT goal?

I'm watching the Flyers for one reason: Carter Hart

4 of the Phantoms top 6 ate never was'/has beens. This is what I can't stand about the Flyers development strategy. If you have to have these types of players on the roster play them in bottom 6. They're obviously not good enough for the NHL or even to win consistently at the AHL level. Someone remind what is their purpose?

Yes, well not big. Had it for 25 for +200. Couldn’t believe it was only +200

Very happy for Hart having a great start to season.

Seeing these flashes give hope for the future, however having a great goaltender surrounded by mediocrity will be his cross to carry.

Biggest issue is there’s no plan to get out of mediocrity. Ping pong balls land our way maybe we are one step closer, but still 3 steps away. The forward depth is pathetic. Defense is tied up in mediocrity for the foreseeable future.

Agreed.
Being able to win every game from behind will not be a path out of mediocrity either.
It would be nice if this resiliency is something that is etched in their brains for the playoffs someday in a galaxy far far away.

If I was having any doubts about Torts, they were laid to rest by his scratching Risto.
Thank you for saying he's looked awful so far. I was on the fence last season, hoping for a Hatcher to possibly emerge, but this season he's so far a downgrade to Seeler and Zamula. I'd love it if he comes back to impress, as Torts always makes room for, but thrilled he's not handed automatic playing time.

This team has at the least been a whole lot more entertaining to watch than last years. My shoulders are not used to being raised in joy and my hands are soft to the hard high fives after a goal,, its been too long. work needs to be done for this team but at least they're fun to watch. Torts is controversial to say the least but it seems like the team is responding. Wish we had Couts, Ellis and Atkinson in to see what this team actually was made of.

Your concerns of Torts were laid to rest only because he scratched Ristolainen?

Happy to see the man sitting someone with disappointing play no matter what the salary, its been awhile since we had a coach do that - I am sure its not what the GM is always hoping to see but Torts job is to put the best team forward - Maybe he actually takes that seriously.

Is Hayes going to sit for his lazy non back check on the Giroux goal?

Doubt it, His play otherwise has been enough to keep in the line up don't you think?

I won't lie.... I l8ke that G got his 300th against his former team. I feel hisb300th should have been with philly flyers on the ice.
I'm not hating this situation

I see alot of G hate on these pages but i'll never understand it, He didnt cause any issues, the team players spoke highly of him, and he never wore Yankees hats around here - Mike Richards ;-( I have trouble understanding why some just hate and want to see him fail, I'm rooting for Ottawa.

He's sat him before for a period, but Hayes has not been the liability of Risto...

Hayes is frustrating, it doesn't look like he gives it all sometimes, and that's hard to be ok with but he's one of the few putting up consistent points and even though he is likely to sit a period or miss some shifts I doubt we'll see him a healthy scratch, Frustrating as he is, he's still an asset.

Not a Hayes fan at all, but someone has to put up points. Unfortunately Hayes is only one of two forwards that put up points consistently.

I'd advocate for them to split up Hayes and TK and see who is really driving the offense.
