Well that was embarrassing. But the Ducks did look better on the forecheck. And The defense remains and big problem. It easily could have been 5 or 6 to 2. Eventually this things will sort themselves out. Except for maybe the defense. That's probably the last thing that gets fixed.

So we wait. And in one word that is Verbeeks plan. Wait. Wait for the prospects to develop. Wait for the team to develop. Wait for more prospects. The only thing is. I don't believe we had to wait. Building through the draft isn't the only way to win. I mean the Ducks are kind of stuck waiting now. But this is how the rest of the season is gonna go. And probably next season too. Just waiting.

Not a good game for Z. Can't remember a game where he blew an assignment on GW goal. And was totally ineffective offensively...

Scratching Regenda was another Eakins idiotic move. Stolli looked decent. Silf obviously was nice. PK was better.. how could it get worse ??? PP non existent... oh and another Duck completely cheap shotted and no penalty called. That was a major for sure and a suspension.. Refs in fine form already...

D was ok... But still Eakins special Outshoot by double at least.

Eakins has to go. Today.

Oh and Bos / Det / Tampa and Leafs coming up... how does 1-10 sound...

Hope the Samueli's like an empty Ponda.. Forget going to games to see this Tire fire.

F$#%#$%K Verbeek... He's nothing more than Murray II ... Eakins should have never been brought back. Never. Should'a been fired after Isles game.

Call and Hire Hitch team would be instantly better. Or Trotz.

Well. There is alot of time. And I don't Wana give up on the season. But there seems to be a larger plan. So it's gonna happen weather we like it or not.

We'll know pretty soon what the long-term goal is. If the goal is to start to turn the corner and get better, then Eakins has to go. It seems every team that made a coaching change has played well (Christ, look at Philly!) I know the kids love the guy (that was the main reason he was retained) but he is a teaching coach, not a winning NHL coach. Eakins kills it in the AHL where kids are learning to be NHLers. That style doesn't seem to translate to the NHL.
If the goal is to try to get Conner Bedard, then Eakins will probably coach the season out. Looking around the league, there's a pretty good chance that will happen, too. Despite winning last night, NJ didn't impress me, despite all of the moves that they made and Arizona is Arizona. Unless they can schedule more games against the Leafs they'll be pretty bad, too. So, I guess that's what we have to look forward to, which is nice!

We’re never gonna win the lottery… and I can’t go through a whole season of watching 40 shots a night…
