What did I watch last night.

That was as poorly a team effort as I've seen from the Ducks since about 94. NO one out there looked like they had ever played organized hockey .. Like ever...

WTF is Eakins doing. Because it sure as hell isn't coaching. No one knew who or how to cover anyone ... the isles aren't even a good team.. what is going to happen once the Rangers and Leafs get a hold of this squad...

Seriously 30 shot periods are not out of the realm of possibility..

And Gibson should have had at least 4 of those... the 1st 2 were peewee level saves.

Half the Ducks roster has been changed. So there is going to be a period of adjustment while players get used to playing with one another. Hopefully it get sorted out before Thanksgiving. Because they are digging themselves into a hole. Which might be good or bad depending on what you want the Ducks to do.

Me I personally like to see them build up. This should be a big year for some of the younger players. Like Jones, Comtois, Lundenstrom should start to show some growth. You gotta build up sometime. Otherwise it just becomes a never ending rebuild.

Saturday's game brought back unhappy memories of the year Pierre Page nearly coached the franchise into oblivion.

There's a difference between being unskilled and being unprepared. Saturday looked like the latter. It's on the coaching staff for everyone to know their assignments and to be ready for the opening face-off. So far, 0-for-2.

Lundy had 16 goals last yr..and 4 of 5 shorties.... any team in this league would take 16 goals from a 3rd line Center... any team..

Jones & Comtois yeah big yr for them... Lundy just needs to pull his head out so far this yr.

Its usually the offense that needs time to gel. Could be a rough year for the Ducks. they gave up almost 50 shots to the Kraken and 7 goals to the islanders.

Gibson won't last taking that many shots a night.
