Ben Shelley: Ducks’ losing streak reaches nine games with three more losses this week

Rough stretch here for sure. Lots of mix & matching …. Verbeek getting good look into what we need.

Yep. Very rough stretch. Kind of being swept under the rug with all the trades. The latest loss against the sharks put the Ducks 7th in the division. I had them at 5th or 6th if they didn't make Any trades. Dostal looked OK. Not bad against the sharks. Alot of those 4 goals were crazy shooting angles that were really hard to see. The new theme though is the lack of structure defensively. Hopefully that fixes itself over time. Losing Manson and Lindholm left a big hole. Gonna take time to fix that.
And in the off-season there gonna have to pay a free agent to play on the second line. Probably gonna have to over pay. But what can you do. The Ducks gotta pay somebody to play some defense. Not that there are many good options.

Back end has been kinda a mess lately…

And we can see that we need an enforcer… Sammy can’t do it all by himself .. warrior that he is… Benoit is nice… but Drew’s butt up here also and find one in the off-season can’t have Terry / Z / Jamie / Zellweger/ and others getting run with impunity…

This is all a work in progress. I don't know what's going to happen. Only 15 more games left. But a plan needs to be made for the off-season. We aren't going to get much of a better pick. Maybe we get to 9th or 8th in the draft. So that's going to be a top 6 foward or a top 4 dman. Which is good.
