Either way your season is chalked, if Lou overpays for Big Ben we will all have a chuckle at Gorton taking him to the cleaners while you guys finish 10th in the East and Benny walks in the off-season. I don't think you're getting one of those players or a 1st or 2nd for Chiarot.

I also don't think Lou is buying unless this team somehow gets on a tear and gives him a reason to. He's especially not buying a UFA that's going to carry that kind of price tag unless there's a miraculous turnaround.

So the Habs are looking to move UFA Chiarot? That's what I said every time you had rumours of Gallagher, Price, Petry, Hoffman...being traded. No idea why NYI would prioritize a stay-at-home D-man...but if you have this at an E4 then it must be true.
