Yep, Romanov's game is developing just fine. He does need to shoot more, but if that takes away from his defensive focus, then let that aspect come around in due time. He is everything that was expected....going to be a top pairing for years.

thing is though, if you want to get rid of a guy because he isn't producing all that much, and you're currently paying him 5M, chances are other teams might not be so interested in acquiring him either...

yup, like I was saying yesterday he's one of the very few bright spots right now in this huge pile of fecal matter. looks like he gained the same kind of confidence he had when he first started playing in MTL, it's nice to see him progress that way.

agreed, 100%. once in a while the habs surprise us by actually showing up (like the game vs Tampa, which still ended in disappointment lol), but those games against the hawks and blues were horrible... not much to work with, so kudos to Karine for providing us with an interesting read despite these pathetic circumstances.

And that is the problem with any move on Drouin.....that contract simply over pays, by a far amount. Middle six player, and when that contract gets to the last year, there will be a club interested come trade deadline. Until then, it is as you pointed out....a challenge at best.
