I agree the situation between Drouin and the team doctors is a bit peculiar, but he can take his sweet time to come back, there's no hurry whatsoever to come back to this tire fire....
as for evaluating the younger guys and having them play more, I don't mind if they do get NHL experience but at the same time I'd kinda prefer having them all playing together in Laval, where games aren't meaningless yet. could be a good start to develop a winning culture... |

coaches and pro players (real ones, the ones you want) will never quit until it is mathematically official. I agree it's a very very long shot, but it's still possible. that is the same spirit they showed when being down 1-3 to TOR not so long ago. if guys quit now, do you really want them in your team to go all the way in a few years?
agreed for the rest. |

the team is probably trying to rally around anything they can right now, I'm sure they brought up the blues' example not so long ago that were dead last in the league standings in January but made the playoffs and actually won the cup.
anyways Ducharme and the organization are simply not allowed to say the season is over for them, they can say there is still hope but deep down they're most likely fully aware that making the playoffs is rather unrealistic for this year. it's a steeper hill to climb than trailing 1-3 against the laffs, with basically no one on the roster being injured.

bottom line, it's not time to make experiments. it's time to win games.
there will be plenty of time for the rest later. |

they're so fragile right now, I doubt the players and coaching staff actually believe they have what it takes to go on a huge winning streak. |

Chiarot, Hoffman, Drouin, Armia, Lehkonen, Dvorak, Perrault, Kulak & Paquette should all be in play come trade deadline.... only way I move Toffoli is for a ridiculous return that includes a real solid prospect + a pick |

everyone covering the HAbs wants a scalp now...its kind of comical....hasn't this team always been about price and Weber?..now that they aren't there everyone should lose their jobs..... |

Nowhere in that blog do i talk about firing anyone . They do need to sign Bergevin or hire someone else though, you can’t do the necessary here without being committed to this team. What happens now will have repercussions for years to come and the man in charge then shouldnt have to deal with the consequences of what a guy with one foot out the door has done... |

Wanting a scalp is dumb fan stuff.
Allowing a lame duck management team to make long term decisions throughout the summer up until present is dumb ownership stuff.
Fans are allowed to be dumb. I'm tired of Molson being so dumb |
