Karine Hains: Game 9: Bowing to the Kings For the 7th time this season, the Canadiens lost, and it really wasn’t pretty. That 5-2 defeat was truly deserved.

these LAK are not considered a contending team. they were also missing their top2 dmen.
pathetic.
hey MB! take the flight home on Monday, and get ready to be fired on Tuesday.

I hope I'm wrong, but I have the feeling you could be quickly very disappointed with the next GM... I know you perceive everyone on your potential replacements list to be automatically better but there's a real chance it won't be the case.

He’s done well with his trades. His free agent signings and drafting has been poor. Lots of money tied up in underperforming wingers right now

we'll know within the first week or so. if Timmins is still there after a week, I can confirm to you the next gm will be just as bad as MB.

I want 2 things from the next guy.
1 fire Timmins
and 2, find a (frank)in center. whatever the cost is.

Those jerseys look better than the Habs tonight, that’s saying a lot.

I’d say the off season before last his FA signings were good, Toffoli and Perry come to mind, of course, he was one of the rare GM to have money to spend but still..

With 9 games played...imagine how we’ll feel in april...

Glad i went to my friend’s baby shower rather than watching that gong show...although i did watch the recording afterwards...that was painful.

which brings me to the conclusion that you should be wishing Timmins and the scouting team are the ones that will be replaced, before MB, considering that the list of potential GMs is most likely way shorter

I would have more patience (and hope) if MB fires Timmins, but we both know that won't happen. it should have been done years ago.

you should see what the only Burger King left in Gatineau looks like. the restaurant's building is literally falling apart, and the inside is so nasty it makes you wonder how come it hasn't been shut down yet. I don't mind their chicken sandwich though

yeah, it would almost be odd if Bergevin got rid of him at this point, although it would still be a welcomed move imho

I'm just worried about getting through November at this point... not even gonna think that far ahead.

he'll sink with him.
and I would not be surprised if that is the reason MB has not signed an extension yet.

he can admire his buddy's biceps all he wants, but given his actual track record I have a hard time believing Bergevin would be adamant about keeping him to the point where he'd refuse an extension.
