This has to be one of the worst rumors you have manufactured to date.

Maybe the negotiations on Brown for Sanford went so smooth that the GMs said, "why not talk in a couple of days about Tkachuk and Parayko?"

Also, why would Ottawa want a 28 year old d-man signed until he's 37? Wouldn't it make way more sense to talk about guys like Thomas, Kyrou, Kostin...

I am going to have to stop you right there. Sense has nothing to do with clickbait.

That's a very good question. Here's another one... why would a team with over $20M of cap space go from trying to sign a 22yo player for 8yrs and name them team captain, to jumping right off the cliff just because another team likes that player?

Oh right, because it's nothing but clickbait horse$hit.

Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think the send are currently UNDER the cap floor (which is a floating number based on 85% of average team salaries, and I haven’t done the math). If that’s the case, what is the penalty if they’re under come opening day? I’d assume if BT isn’t signed by then, they’d sign a free agent or two in order to make it… but nobody talks about the floor and I don’t know the finer details of non-compliance.

They're about $1.15M under, according to CapFriendly. That'll be taken care of once Tkachuk re-signs.

They should be looking to acquire elite top-line LW Leo Komarov, IMHO

Ennis is on a PTO and looks to be making the team. He can easily sign for $1.15

Lol thats a joke of an offer. Kyrou has put up the exact numbers that Brady has and did it with less toi.

So why would we trade you kyrou and parayko
That's nuts.

So Parayko, who just signed an 8 year team-friendly deal, may be shipped out, eh?

Brady has ostensibly been a 50pt player each year he's been in the league on a dumpster fire team. He also has 700+ more hits in his career than Jordan.

Parayko obviously isn't part of any deal but the Kyrou vs. Brady comparison is absurd.

They got the exact same numbers last year and Brady had more time on ice. So to sit here and say there is no comparison when there is a very close comparison with parayko as a throw is is the absurdity here. Also you say he hits more than kyrou well Brady is no where close to the speed of kyrou. No where close. You can teach a lot of things but ypu can't teach lighting quick speed

Obviously now is the time to trade him. Player signs a team friendly extension, so obviously you trade him now before the NTC on that new contract kicks in.

However, Melnyk will trade for Parayko until year 6 of the deal. That is when real salary drops well below the cap hit. No chance he trades for a guy owed more money then his cap hit.

Kyrou is no slouch and has a pretty high ceiling imo but they are totally different players. The numbers don't mean a whole lot to date. Brady overall brings a lot more to the table I think.
