I don’t disagree with try Matheson at wing, but Ryan Wilson just doesn’t like hockey. I was more excited to watch last nights game than I am to watch Malkin rack up points on bottom feeders. A lot of great blocked shots last night, a lot of effort.

Without those four in the line-up Pens are not much better. Especially losing Malkin because he made Kapanen and even Rodriguez so much better.

They have one line that can score right now and unfortunately the PK is horrible, so that makes it difficult for them to win low scoring games.

Why not just call up Sam Poulin?

Poulin is playing in the Q This season, I don't believe they are allowed to pull them from Juniors after the season started.

Unless they changed the rules this year, no. Even if there was, they have the 2 week quarantine. So you were right, Poulin isn't an option.

Sullivan confirms “there’s a strong possibility” Malkin will return before the regular season concludes.
