I listened to the podcast posted in the blog. Everything they're saying implies that he looks good and should be ready to go. Obviously that could change once he's cleared for contact and starts getting hit. Rooting for him.

Yes there is a point, they have a huge need for it; cant let the expansion draft dictate things.

i think there's a reason to be optimistic, but he could suffer a setback once contact starts. also he hasn't played an nhl game in what? over a year at this point right?

I think we as Flyers fans have no choice but to hope Patrick can return and become legit.

Glad to see pictures of the boys practicing. Still rubs me the wrong way how we were knocked out of the playoffs. I love Ivan Provorov, Carter Hart, Sean Couturier. It isn’t a question of talent. The Islanders simply outworked us. Reminds me a lot of the 2012 Devils. It was a round we should have won. Niskanen dropping out aside, If G were 7 years younger and playing center, we’re legit. We’re just missing that top impact center and I’m still hoping Patrick can be that guy.

Not so sure i agree on the talent part. Th talent overall hasn't produced in the playoffs for a little while now.

the Isles had an identity and a great blend of Vets and young players. They were big, could forecheck, hit and skate. Add in hard work and playing a young team like the Flyers. I think the Flyers were getting the experience and AV in his second year can establish their Identity. If Carter stays the course, AV continues the improvements, the team matures, I think you will see a team with a little more push back when they play a team like the Isles

The guy who was the consensus number 1 pick for the majority of time was not projected to be a top impact center ??? Not saying he was projected to be Sid but a projected top line center is an impact player
