How about the owners/league dogging Dutton and telling him he could eventually have the team back and then ended up canceling the franchise?

FSN is going to show some playoff games from 96, as well as their first ever franchise win.
Three of the ECF games vs the Pens with Mario and Mario,Jr. will be shown. Barasso hiding in the net to avoid the deluge of rats is one of the most memorable images from the year of the rat. Lol, I still can't believe the league let the rats rain like they did that year. The Panthers tried to discourage it by telling the fans they could be penalized for delay of game. The home broadcast treated it as they would a streaker running out onto a football field. Denis Potvin got a lot of time to talk. (clip from first round game1 vs Bs, the first ever FL playoff game)

It is crazy looking back that the league let the rats get tossed on the ice all the time. Instant toss and banned for life if you tried to do tht today. Haha.

Lol, only for after victories now. The only time they are thrown now after a goal* is when visiting fans bring them to try and game the refs.
(* Or after a Panther hat trick, which was a rather infrequent occurence over the years, until recently.)

The players' comments about the rat incident are funny, especially Skrudland's. Lol, There's a shot of Mrs Huizenga chucking rats out onto the ice.
Barasso hid in the net to avoid the rats, while Patrick Roy took a different approach. He stood there getting pelted after the first goal he allowed, you could tell it was pissing him off. He gave up another quick one (kind of a bad goal against, too), again he did not hide in the net. Then he decided there'd be no more rats, and proceeded to shut FL out for the next 7 periods of hockey. Even the Beezer with his awesome mask couldn't save them....

The video was set to “Gimme Shelter” by The Rolling Stones. It was so freaking good! I’ve searched for years to try and find it again but have had no luck.
