I really liked Tyler Madden, he was one of my fave prospects out there, can't believe the Canucks traded him for Toffoli
it is a big time sellers market out there |

The Rangers may very well be able to leverage Colorado for some serious assets, with Grubauer & Rantanen being injured. They have plenty of cap space, & with the pressure of the deadline looming, the timing could be perfect for a Kreider-Lundqvist package.
As a Blues fan, I do not like this possibility. |

I think the problems with this are do the Avalanche still want Lundqvist as their goalie next year and the fact that Hank has only played 3 full games since January 2nd.
I think the Avalanche would be ok with paying Hank 4.5 mil next year and having him as a tandem with Grubauer for a year if they knew Hank was on the top of his game, it's just that Hank has played so little and it's hard to imagine them putting their eggs in his basket |

I just can’t see any team wanting Hank. I mean a rebuilding team has given him 3 starts since the new year and he lost 2 of them. He had a great game against the Red Wings, put him out there VS an NHL team and you get different results. |

2 continue : 2 explain a 2 headed attitude :NYR keeps the P O light on ,just not burning as bright as it could , hedging on making P O's the team isnt playing with desperation to make P O's cause team isnt desperate to make P O's .Just keep it real interesting but holding back players for precautionary reasons cost us wins
Krieds 1 game sat out but skated in warm ups that nite
shesty should have played sun. to wake up team & house
talk of sitting Krieds for fri-sat if deal is coming....
since the team lost 2 gms before the long break ,mgmt has since been fence sitting on the 2 issues i say 1. winning to make P O's & 2.trades that will build towards future .
I say when not going full bore or trying to accomplish 2 things you sacrifice something & we have lost games should have won or competed harder ..
sorry if it hurts your eyes to try to decipher ... just not a writer ,speaker yes indeedy

As I stated before, the problem with Hank is that he's always been better when he gets a ton of starts, he needs a rhythm. His body just can't do it anymore. I'm not sure he'd be able to work anywhere. |

whats the consensus on what NYR will do by T D
No one mentions them buying talent for now ...
Its about continue the rebuild ...they spent 19 mill on 2 players ,1 having an MVP type season, the other a lead dog looking for his mate to flourish & all we do is plan to sell off for the future ...the future is also NOW ,we are close & need top left D for Trouba ? OR do we sell him off too for more future s ... do we have so many proven prospects & 1st yr talent ... DOnt know what any of the D prospects will do ..KNow it will take time to develop & flourish ,Fox our best is still at 23 gonna need time to gain the experience ,how often do you see top D rooks fly to the top of the lg. Not too often |

gotta ask : why did NYR bring up shesty in early Jan ?
why did they create this 3 goalie rotation
B/c they have been forcing HANK out the door only not saying so....
Now HANK has to be sick of the act & will take a deal ..
NOW who wants him?
with seller market Krieds is a done deal , dont know what they will get but with the haul the others are getting ,gotta do it BUT wont happen till mon.
Fast could be the 1st to go if not HANK
Strome is in play as well & is a probable now
A DA shoulder holding him out ? I D K
Staal & SMith may be in play for D strapped teams (injuries are big time) |

because he's great and I think they had a very real fear of him going back to Russia if they didn't |

FYI, college guys have been jumping to the pros and finding success pretty quickly. Fox is arguably the best defensmen on the team and was in college last year. I don't think guys like Makar and Hughes have struggled making the transition. As much as I don't want Miller just rushed for the sake of being rushed, the guy was a 1st round pick. The expectation should be that he should be able to help out sooner than later.

4 more years of Skjei not 5. In any case, even though I'm not crazy about Skjei at least we can agree that he is an NHL player. Backes is done, he is a huge negative contract at this point. If we are trading guys, we need to CLEAR cap space, not take on an albatross even if its just for one year! - TommyGTrain

We all hope that Miller is a world beater, but I think even if we got Provorov 2.0 that would be a gigantic upgrade. Isn't that what we really need? |
