I am sure it has crossed the minds of a few of us about Guddy being out.
I thought Canucks were the better team last night. |

win or lose, nice to see some energy again, I don't get angry when they play well and lose just disappointed. Bo looked determined to take the team on his back, knights had a helluva time with bo just needed a bit of luck around the net. |

I know this is against popular choice in here but I like the idea of trading now for players. I am happy with two picks in the top 40 only, if they make the proper choices.
I do think the Canucks have trade pieces like Gudbrandson Goldobin Virtanen OJ Baertschi that teams would be interested in not only Edler Tanev and Sutter. I think one or two players will be moved this year and I hope it is for a young player that fits in with Bo. |

Surprising you would be willing to part with OJ considering he is supposed to be a key part of the blueline in the future |

If it came down to OJ and JV for Nylander yes I would or OJ for Puljujarvi. If it was OJ for Spezza not a chance. |

I’m almost surprised Vancouver never got in on those Nylander talks because he certainly fills in a need for you guys (based on him actually being able to produce without Matthews) but who knows maybe Benning made a call and zero came from it

A couple of things I can come to the conclusion of is:
Canucks will continue on their path of being patient and draft him this year.
Canucks have made a proposal like Guddy and Roussel.
Canucks are not interested in him.
Canucks have another free agent in mind.
The timing is wrong.

I can see the pros and cons in making such a move I guess it just depends on if they felt like it was worth it....I mean if you look at a line with EP and Boeser then another with Nylander and Bo that’s a pretty good one-two combo |

Im happy they stayed away. We are going to have big contracts coming up soon as well. Hopefully we see the team start to turn the corner second half of next year. We definately need to get some goaltending. |

I guess that Benning offered Gudbranson and Rousell for Nylander but they asked for Beagle and Guance instead which scuttled the trade talks. |

Benning did make a call but TO's asking price was obscene. |

This doesn’t surprise me seeing that some Leafs fans feel that he is worth a top pairing guy in a trade return.....the league doesn’t quite work like that despite what they think |

There will be a number of free agents this summer looking for high money. The only thing Canucks have to give up is cap space so they might just be waiting for that.

I only listed two per line so in theory that leaves room for that physical player....anyways I’m not saying they should do it for certain I’m js there is some potential there if it actually happened....that being said I don’t think it’s worth giving up the world then 7 mil per year on top of that |

Trading at anytime is all good and fine if it improves your club for the most part.
Problem is our prospect cupboards are finally looking good and other teams want a piece of that. No can do. |

Which is also fair considering the rebuild status....keep your picks/prospects then see if there is a fit in the summer for UFAs and just hope it pans out better then Loui (always risks in those signings....oh boy do I ever know this) |

Yup I can see Benning turning down letting go of Beagle, but if Toronto wanted Gaunce they could have just taken him off waivers....so it just goes to show none of the 30 other teams wanted anything to do with an AHL darling from the Comets. |

Hmmm... interesting take, I'd assume it's because they still thought nylander would return and reclaim the top line left wing position from Gaunce and they were being mindful to not repeat their past mistakes by ruining another future hall of Famer, ala frankie corrado. |
