If both AMac and Oduya can’t go, do we finally get the return of Travis Sanheim?

Second-year Phantoms defenseman Travis Sanheim, who may be called up to the Flyers if neither Andrew MacDonald nor Johnny Oduya are able to go on Wednesday, did not record a point in this game. However, he registered five shots on goal and was plus-one.

Now that Mark Alt is gone, I think we may. However, Sanheim plays that "offensively skilled" style that is looked down upon for our 3-6 defenders.

They will sneak Alt back onto the team and have him wear a Sanheim jersey

I wouldn't be surprised to see a Morin call-up.

I would be. He's just coming off injury.

I would agree if he hadn't been injured. I think they just want him to finish off this season in the AHL barring a longer Flyers' playoff run than Phantoms' run and subsequent injuries.

He hasn't played a game since getting reinjured in the outdoor game on Jan. 20 and has barely played since his previous reinjury in early Dec.

They probably should just shut him down and let him get totally healthy

Hey Bill,

If Couturier, Patrick, and Frost are the Flyers future down the middle, where does that leave a guy like Vorobyev? Is there enough minutes as a fourth line center for him down the line?

I'm not Bill, but I remember hearing that the 2011 Bruins team that won the Cup has something like 9 natural centers on the roster. If they're skilled enough players, they'll find a way to fit them into the lineup (see: Giroux). If Vorobyov earns a shot at the NHL, they'll likely either find a fit or let him move to an organization where he'll have his shot.

4th line or on a wing.... these things have a way of figuring themselves out. Injuries happen, players move around lineups, etc. Rubtsov is in the same boat. His best position is center but he is mostly playing RW in the Q.

I'd call sanheim up and tell him the first mistake he makes defensively, he's gone.
Should work just fine.

He's gonna come in and score a first period hat trick. However, late in the period, he will make a turnover that does not result in a scoring chance against. For the remainder of the game, his ass will be stapled to the bench in favor of Brandon Turnover Manning.

Nah, that's just too complicated. They'll just bring up Will O'Neill and Hextall will laugh at our pain and suffering.

Play a descent 1st period only to pull a groin and never be heard from again?
