Carol Schram: Anders Nilsson likely starter as Vancouver Canucks look to rebound in L.A. Anders Nilsson is expected to start and the power play is getting a new look as the Vancouver Canucks try to snap their two-game losing streak in Los Angeles against the Kings on Tuesday night.

Awesome Carol.
We were having a very good conversation and maybe that's a good sign the team is going to turn it around tonight. 3-2 Canucks.

I'm pretty sure I asked you last year if the new 4 F 1 D PP units were scoring more or giving up more. I don't believe there was any difference between having 2 D instead.

Like having 2 guys bombing shots from the points. Maybe someone will score and boost the D scoring. Like when BB tried to help Tanev score into an empty net.

lol...sounds possible. LA will have a 2-0 lead going into the third period where Quick should be able to pot 6 empty net goals. Easy PEasy...

I'm baffled that the twins still get more power play ice time then the kids.

The team misses Tanev immensely, I can't believe that people were so quick to want to trade him. I think Nilsson will stand on his head tonight and we will scratch out at least one point.

There is a chance Nilsson will play well and seize an opportunity...but Green will go back to Markstrom right aways anyway so what does it matter?

On Tanev I think a lot on here like him and what he brings in the shut down role. Bottom line is that he is just never healthy and we need to get an asset for him while we can...or we'll be stuck with his 20 games/year forever.

I like Tanev a lot. You get rid of him and then you are forever trying to replace him. Until we build up some RHD depth, it would be crazy to move him unless the offer was spectacular. IMO

Sounds like Tanev is the teams excuse for losing. Hilarious

I've never seen data on this but it makes sense to me intuitively. It seems like those odd-man rushes or breakaways often happen when the puck skips past a forward on the point. I wonder if it's true or a figment of my imagination?

Mostly, I'm board right now because I like the idea of them getting three units in the mix. Anything to create some freshness and trim back the twins' PP time a bit...
