Just heard from friends of mine in Las Vegas thank god. They're okay.

Just heard Tom Petty died. Saw him at Rogers arena no longer than a few weeks ago.

Thanks Carol. Im surprised Pedan was the odd man out to be honest. Green seemed to really like him and knew him much better than Weircoch.

We all know here in Canuckland their will be an injury to our defense (Within the first five games) and we'll see Pedan in no time.

Im calling it.

Probably the right call to waive him. Like Subban, he was a healthy scratch at times in the AHL last year under Travis Green. I'm guessing he didn't play the other night just in case he had a strong game and impressed another team enough to claim him.

Plus he's better off playing in Utica rather than eating popcorn in Vancouver.

When the 100th overall pick passes our 5th overall (right after our 6th overall got passed by just about everyone in his draft-class), maybe it's time to say that our GM might not be as good at drafting as everyone thinks...

This is such a terrible day for many reasons. I've loved Petty since I was 8 - when the Wilbury's album came out - Just saw him play at the ACC on July 15, bucket list, one of the happiest days of my life.
