Yeah, this isn't really any kind of news, he'll play a few exhibition games & fill in roster for split squad practise scrimmages & so on. Doubt he survives the 2nd round of cuts.

Like others have said, I see this as a filler for pre-season and possibly a tactic in the Bennett negotiations to show that we have a plan B if he doesn't sign before opening day.

Bottom line, you need a couple of players in a bottom six role that can be that aggressor type player. Ones that can grind a team down, forecheck and keep players in check without hurting your team, especially in the division we're in. A Hathaway type, but with a little more experience.

Flames please sign him for opening roster so Boll won't be the worst player in the division - ... Boll still might be even if Glass in on Flames roster -

Not that I like Deadwing fans but he does have a point about the pressure on Bennett negotiation. Now if they brought Galchenyuk or Duschene, that might put a little pressure on Benny

I don't give a rats a$$ about Tanner Glass!! My point was we need some players that have a bite to them. Then even described what type of player I had in mind, like one with speed and wouldn't hurt the team. I even mentioned one like Hathaway but better and with more experience. Tanner Glass is done, he's just a body in training camp and to play a couple of preseason games as a veteran player since you have to play so many. If they do sign him, he'll go the farm
