Ok good, I thought I was going senile already. LOL.

Tampa was the retirement home for elite or star players past their prime.

Off the top of my head :

Brian Bellows
Stephane Richer
Denis Savard
Dino Cicarelli
Wendel Clark
Petr Klima
Brenden Morrow
Mark Recchi
Evgeni Nabokov
Paul Ysebaert
Craig Janney
Basil McRae (not a star, but well known enforcer)
Gary Roberts

There are likely more I can't remember.

I think Syracuse series vs Marlies and Gusevs WC is more news worthy than this.

When my son started playing hockey he asked me for a good jersey number. #44 immediately came to mind as my childhood was spent watching Richer's deadly shot. He wasn't among the NHL elite but he was a wonderful hockey player and will always be one of my favorite Devils.

My first game with my father, Richer scored on a laser shot in OT against the Bruins and ny dad turns to me and says 'hockey is pretty exciting' and he was hooked.

I almost added Andreychuk, but he helped us win the Cup, so I didn't want to put him on the list of "past their prime".

He was a real good player, leader and great guy even on the back end of his career.

Agreed. Without him, we didn't win that Cup.
