Although absolutely no correlation to the two, I would love to see the Flyers record numbers this year with sean couturier in and out of the lineup. |

someone needs to photoshop some flyers faces onto those - Nucker101
I was totally thinking the same thing, but I'm not good at that. Even the title "Mac and Me"......please someone make one with MacDonald's head on the alien and Hakstol on the cripple |

Come out with this kind of effort against the Caps and they could lose by double digits. |
|

14 goals allowed in the last 3 games. I'm sure the numbers will balance out and they will hold Caps to 1 goal tomorrow. |

Dave Isaac pre-game saying Ghost's gap control is bad as a reason for the scratch really pissed me off. That is tracked. He's the best on the team and among the best in the league since he came up. It's a fact; there's no gray area about that. Just go all the way with it and praise MacDonald's gap control if you're already halfway to BS Land. |

The source of the tracking as well as the play being extremely objective, dismisses that it is a fact. Tons of gray area in that stat, make it unreliable. Personally in my view, I wouldn't single that out as a big issue with Gostisbehere's game. I personally did not agree with the scratch but I'm not going to overreact to it.
I think the reasonable argument against the scratch is, even if you think Gostisbehere is having some defensive issues, did it make a difference defensively today having him sit out? There is no doubt that he has had his struggles this season, and sitting out isn't going to kill him. The possibility exists that he could've possibly helped them offensively. I was not impressed with Streit today. I actually thought that Gostisbehere's play was trending up. I would've sat Manning before sitting Gostisbehere.
MacDonald had a solid game today. |

People are full of poop and making stuff up about Ghost all year. I thought coaches are supposed to preach process over results, but clearly Hakstol doesn't care either. No one sits Ghost and uses MacDonald as a top pair defender (#2 in team ice time today too behind Provorov) and is using anything resembling logic.
My biggest worry is that Ghost will try to change his game, for the worse, to please the coaches and not get scratched and lose confidence because of this Richarding him around. |
