Once vatrano gets back, I wouldnt mind seeing a third line of Vatrano - Czarnik - Pasta. I think the young kids could do some serious damage.

I love that the cover photo for Kevin Allen's USA Today article titled "NHL reality check: One reason your team will fail this season" is a picture of Chara. Pretty much sums it up. |

Vatrano and Czarnik played together last year right? I think they would be good together. Whether it is Pasta or Heinen next to them, I think it could be an offensive threat. |

What an epic line, they will dominate the press box.

They'll become super best friends with Collin Miller and Joe Morrow as I'm sure they'll be staple gunned to the (frank)ing 9th floor. |

Anybody else against moving Krug for Trouba? I dont think it makes us any better and hurts the power play.
We need them both. |

Totally against it.
1. Krug is a proven commodity and helps the Bruins. Especially on the PP. He also under control at an reasonable cap hit.
2. Trouba has the potential to be a top pair but hasn't hit that level yet. He is also a huge vagina. Instead busting ass and taking/earning that top spot he is going to shoot his way of out town a la Kyle Turris. I am all set with this guy. |

Ill pass on trouba if it costs Krug. Not worth it. We have Krug at a decent cap hit and we know what he can do. Plus Krug wants to be in Boston, if Trouba doesnt get what he wants, he will just piss and moan until he either gets traded, or gets more money than he is worth.
On the other hand, if there was a package involving one of our roster D men not named Krug or Colin Miller, plus a pick or a prospect, that might be interesting. But it would have to be the right deal. And the 'right deal' for Boston probably wont entice the Jets to send Trouba our way. |

I would hope for Fowler over Trouba. If we could move like McQuaid, a first, and Subban, I'd like Fowler.
As long as it isn't Senyshyn, DeBrusk, Zboril, Carlo, McAvoy, Lauzon, Heinen, Vatrano, Czarnik... Forget that.
Seriously, too many untouchables. Trade one of our top prospects, we have so many... See if we can get one of those top end Defensemen for a solid prospect and pick and small roster salary (Hayes, McQuaid, etc.)
If we acquire a Shattenkirk, Fowler, Trouba now, we have a pretty decent backend.
Chara Fowler
Krug K. Miller
Erhoff Liles
C. Miller or Morrow.
I think we are one top 2 Dman away from contending in the east.

Yup.. agree with pretty much everyone here...
I wouldn't trade Krug for Trouba, and I highly doubt that it was even an actual possibility. I think this was more of just hypothetical possibilities made up by someone... regardless if they were a legit "source" or not. I just don't buy that Sweeney was actually going to trade Krug for Trouba.
It just seems like too much of a lateral move. Not to mention that Ek reported that it was Krug PLUS a prospect AND a draft pick, or something ridiculous like that. |
