Ty Anderson: Jimmy Vesey sweeps finally open for Bruins, NHL

I think the best things about the player are the price tag and potential goal scoring ability. I respect his decision to decide where he starts his career as well. I would do the same given the same opportunity.
I do hope he signs in Boston. He'd fit in nicely with Spoons or even Bergy, but he isn't the answer to the obvious shortcomings on D.

Acquiring him may provide us some flexibility to send a better package for a D-man without losing too much. One can only hope.

Can you imagine how good the Bruins would be with Malcolm Subban and and Jimmy V on the same team for the next ten years?!?!?!

Regardless of when it happens, he's joining the Bruins. I know this to be a fact.

At this point i'm honestly just sitting back and watching the show. I don't think the Bruins will get him. I really don't think it's make or break if he joins our team. A few years ago there was a similiar hype around Hayes, and he went to the rags after being "a shoe-in" to join the B's.

I really just want him to NOT go to the Sabres so we can all watch Garth have a nervous breakdown.

Love the low risk / high reward aspect to Vesey, but the hype surrounding this unproven kid has been nauseating.

Incorrect. He stuck to his guns and went to Aug 15th. He wasn't signing with anyone before that and said so from day 1

While it would be pretty nice if he chose the devils, and I doubt he will, vesey is being overhyped and I dont think he will do as well as people think, wouldnt shock me if he tops out as a 3rd liner

Yeah, i'd just like to see it done at some point soon. Get rid of the distraction and start focusing on business at hand. It is all just a bunch of hype. I hope he's successful wherever he goes, but we shall see.

I feel a little bad for the kid, getting all this hate when it's the media blowing it all out of proportion, he's just doing what he's allowed to do.
