Todd, your thoughts on Logan Brown? He should be there and the more I see of him/read about him he seems to be exactly what the Devils could need. |

Keep hearing he's moving up fast and now possibly top 7 pick. But would NJ entertain trading pick for an impact roster player now instead?? |

Yeah, he and Keller seem to be the ones moving up fastest on a lot of rankings.
I'm sure the Devils would entertain trading that pick if a young forward that could provide offense became available. They have a lot of the pieces in place to return to being competitive, still lack goal scoring though. |

I think they would if there was a decent player available, but I doubt a good player becomes available (good enough to move the pick). Trade market will probably be pretty dead other than teams shedding trash.
Don't know if Drouin gets moved anymore...
It'll be another three year project, hopefully a forward... our organizational depth is still weak on wing. |

Right now depth is less important than high-level skill. The pick should be whoever the best skater left is. That said, if Clayton Keller is on the board and Shero doesn't pick him I might throw something through a window. |

Sure hope i'm wrong but i don't see any way keller drops to 11th. Mcleod or jost is the pick at 11. If they are both gone also, trade down to 15 to 18, any grab gauthier, bellows, or brown. |

I'm with you, I don't see Keller available at 11, unfortunately I think we miss out on Brown if we trade down to 15. |

Sometimes reaches are pleasant surprises though. I wanted to kick babies when they passed on Provorov and he went to the Flyers. Looks like we got a good one in Zacha though. |

He's generally been ranked in the 10-15 range so him being available at 11 isn't that much of a stretch. |

Honestly, the 11th pick in this draft isn't the worse thing in the world. New Jersey will land a piece of the future with the pick as this draft is deep. After reading up on the prospects, Keller and Brown should be the targets for Shero. The report on Keller is a smaller player with pure skill. The report on Brown is big boy who can skate and also possesses skill. Honestly, if either are available at 11 New Jersey will be getting a pretty good piece to the puzzle. If both are gone by 11, there are still plenty of other guys for Shero to choose from. If Shero is really high on one or two prospects, it's not crazy for him to try and move up to grab him before someone else gets their hands on them. He does have plenty of other picks that he could use as a sweetener to complete a deal. If he is comfortable at 11 and his guys are gone by then, maybe he could even trade down and gain more assets in the process. Regardless, New Jersey is trending in the right direction. Looking foward to the draft!! |

I'm still very big on Jost. I'd say Keller, Jost, Brown. |
