Seriously, through it all their underlying numbers were great, their luck downright awful, and their players losing confidence. But now they are the contender we all thought. Bob Murray deserves a medal for patience.

While this prediction of Schenn seems likely, 13 goals in 26 games during a contract year and the final push for the playoffs seems like all the motivation a player needs to succeed.

Who cares if I don't believe Jake to be an elite NHL player, or Mason to be a top 10 goalie? Who cares if I wanted to see Vinny get a fair shot on the team out of training camp or if I believe Brayden Schenn at age 24 can still develop into a scoring threat? Who cares if I don't like RJ Umberger or if I don't think this team is that good this year? Who cared if I'd like us to get tougher and draft bigger forwards?

The Umberger thing was a joke. Everyone on this board rides him for how bad he is. He was saying since he's put up a few points lately, everyone owes RJ an apology. Sarcasm and a simple joke. No big deal. He wasn't singling you out.

As with everything else, it takes 2 to tango. If you're getting so defensive about getting into these arguments, don't get into them! Easy. I'll admit I've been saying elitiot™ a lot lately, but it's not to make fun of you. It's to make fun of these boards and how this ENTIRE group of people can go on tangents like that litrilly for days at a time. Which is what happened there.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion. That certainly includes you. The issue with you sometimes though, is someone will disagree with your opinion (also fine) and instead of discussing it, you for some reason just- overreact. Like you're doing now. It seems like you're the one leading the charge to be up in the faces of people who disagree with you for pages on end. Maybe that's not the case, but it definitely seems like that. But hey- maybe I'm just reading things wrong. It's the internet of course! Things can be misinterpreted with lack of voice inflection, etc

Why? Again, maybe you didn't mean it to come off like that, but this is the internet. It's important to type how you'd talk. Perhaps a better way to phrase that to really make sure civil discussion ensues would be "I can definitely see that happening, but I have a feeling a contract year and the playoff push might enough to push Schenn over the 30 g threshold. But we'll see!"

See what I mean? Kind of comes off as less argumentative. Then we would have someone jumping at you, nor would we have an big to do.
