Always a good plan to wait till after the drive

Nylander has played well from what I've seen.

I'd say he deserves to make the team, but he should spend the year down with the Marlies, because it will be better for him in the long run, and thus better for the Leafs in the long run.

Let him have a big successful season in the AHL. Give him the feeling of winning and success. The leafs are gonna have a tough year, and there is no reason to throw Nylander into the fire that is the Toronto media when the team is struggling.
