In one week, the Canucks only improvement is Prust over Kassian. Otherwise, the Canucks have gotten worse.

Why did we let Weber get to UFA? That made the Canucks have to pay more for him. Dumb.

Benning says Kassian was too inconsistent on the ice and didn't want to get into off-ice issues but said there's a "fine line of being a pro."

Benning: "We spent a lot of time working with Zack Kassian, trust me when I say that. From Smyl to Trevor to me."

If Benning has assessed his young players correctly, all these moves should pay off quite nicely.

Derek Dorsett sent Benning a text saying "Thank You" for the Prust signing. #Canucks

Be careful what you wish for. We've wanted a rebuild and now we are getting whining from fans.

Would have better to send higgins for prust. About equal salaries. In our trades all toughness has been lost.
Id like to see another ufa D signing. Sorry higgins I love you but cap room needed for franson, maybe erhoff

No to either, they don't make us any better and our cap space can be used elsewhere.

So kassian is tougher then Prust?

And we did sign Franson. The jersey will say weber on it but its virtually the same player. Big shot with no guts, no hockey sense and no defense

Exactly, and Erhoff is 100x older/worse than he was in 2011. Not needed, save the cap space for when teams have to get under the cap and want to dump salary.
